masoftheund Report post Posted August 20, 2007 This was brought up some time ago and it was agreed it was a good idea but has since been forgotten..... Time on our chat logs (optional) will help us know when a message was posted so that people who were AFK will not come back to answer questions that were asked hours or minutes ago..... Mods at the Market channel will have no problems knowing who broke the time intervals for ads..... ...

bkc56 Report post Posted August 20, 2007 One person is talking about in-game chat history (not really a log) and the other person is talking about the actual chat_log.txt file. In-game history does not have time-stamps, the log file does.

Vanyel Report post Posted August 20, 2007 Honestly, I find this useless.
trollson Report post Posted August 20, 2007 A time stamp on each line would produce too much clutter. I guess all you really want to know is if a chat message is recent or not. The client could inject '#time' on the quarter hour (or some interval, configurable). Some guild bots already announce the new hour, which gives a similar guide. Torg Report post Posted August 21, 2007 (edited) The client could inject '#time' on the quarter hour (or some interval, configurable). Trinity provides this service. If you PM her with: /trinitybot notify add 10 1 Syntax: /trinitybot notify add/rem timezone frequency Then she will PM you with the local time, in the timezone requested (+10 GMT or AEST in the example) every 1 * 15 minutes (use the value 2 for every half an hour, 4 for every hour, etc). PM her with 'help notify' or check her website for more info. /edit: added more info Edited August 21, 2007 by Torg
