magmatwister Report post Posted August 18, 2007 EL downloads fine, but when it gets to the setup stage, it says " Error opening file for writing............ asgnny Report post Posted August 18, 2007 Sounds like you don't have write permissions to the necessary files/directories. This issue has come up many times, and there are solutions posted. Please use the search function next time to avoid needless extra threads. If you're using Windows Vista, try running as administrator. If you're in Linux, you may need to chmod certain files.
