Vanyel Report post Posted July 4, 2007 I'm considering buying a new computer (mostly for work purpose, however would like to play on it a bit ). CPU will be most probably C2Duo (E4300) and 2GB RAM. What struggles me is a GFX unit. I'm hesitating between GF7900 (DX9.0c) and GF8600 (DX10). Both are in the same price range. GF7900 seems to be slightly faster, but does not support DX10 and is slightly more expensive. GF8600 supports DX10, gives slightly worse results in banchmarks than it's older sister. I'm not going to update my OS to Vista, so DX10 is not that important. However, in some time it may happen that Vista becomes an interesting alternative for good old XP. I would love to know your opinions and suggestions. Regards, Anshar

Entropy Report post Posted July 11, 2007 Yeah, fuck Intel. I'll never buy any Intel product, as much as there are viable alternatives.
