ville-v Report post Posted June 20, 2006 I think Tankel breaks things because he is often drunk. Vesine with her cheap wine is so close. I was thinking the same thing - maybe his name should be Tanked? In fact it is his name, but he wasn't able to write it correctly because he had drank too much

WizzKidd Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Hey, I think he is great. I mean, this econemy is built on the idea that you have to make LOTS of the same items in order to progress your skill, this means that we must also take LOTS of those items out of the game. If more come in then go out.. nobody will be abel to manu and sell a thing. I think tankel is teh boooomb! (Im a manuer ;P and I never use him)
Guest Teernyn Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Tankels been great to me.. You just gotta warm him up a little before you have him repair =) I usually bring him a fresh apple pie (he loves tat)
Cyprom Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Experienced blacksmith you say If you do the quest and actually read what he says, it makes sence... I don't know how it really goes, but Tankel is an old man now, and he's not as good as he used to be anymore. I'm for Tankel, though he does break alot of stuff Broke: 1 Iron Cuisses, 1 Iron Greave, 1 Iron Plate Repaired: 3 Titanium Serps, 1 Crown of Life, 2 Iron Cuisses, 1 Iron Plate, 2 Titanium Chains Yeah definetely need waiting there... very bad to go to Tankel with CoL... Gotta take a risk sometimes mate If he ****s up, just buy new one; Did it once, can do it again..
guidera Report post Posted June 22, 2006 It would be good if when tankel failed you didn't lose your item but you lost the gc you gave to him
Thordin Report post Posted June 22, 2006 Nah, it's a good item sink and we the manuers have at least some profit from items.
Cyprom Report post Posted June 23, 2006 (edited) It would be good if when tankel failed you didn't lose your item but you lost the gc you gave to him Don't make it too easy... Serp is like 500gc for reparation, that's nothing if you lose it. I rather have the money back Though I find this a good system as it is Cyp EDIT: typo Edited June 23, 2006 by Cyprom
Atlantis Report post Posted June 23, 2006 He broke every single pair of cuisses i brought to him He would occasionally fix tit chains for me...most of the time they would end up ruined >.> I don't want to see him gone, just that he could fix stuff more often then failing, or maybe add a setting to armor so when it starts to get bad you can either fix it yourself, if you have the required lvl or take it to Tankel. Example: Titanium Chain when you first buy it is: 250/250 Once you wore it, and the amount of dmge it takes it would end up something like: 80/250 and would keep on decreasing until you get it fixed/repaired. I think this would be a plus for manufaturing well I like the idea of being able to repair your own stuff, but everything should degrade by chance, its silly to have people selling so many different tit chains on the market. once something degrades, maybe you have to put in the manu window a few fire essences, the degraded armor, and some substance like glue, to try and fix it
Thordin Report post Posted June 23, 2006 Durability like from Diablo? Do you think it would fit EL properly? IMHO Tankel is good item sink, otherwise, we manuer would go jobless, maybe make there an another option of double the price with increase of chance by 10-20%?
