eagleprince Report post Posted March 8, 2006 (edited) A few days ago I went to KF to look for a partner for PVP. I suppose my newbie-ness was reflected in not arranging that before going there, so please don't remind me of it In any case, I had the privilege of bumping into the great donpedro, who was training with a friend. (What a nice character! He's a gnome, by the way! ) As I was paying my respects to the great one, I got attacked by someone and was hit so hard that I did not even see who it was before re-incarnating in the underworld! I later found out that the culprit was scarr, and advised him that my big brother will be looking out for him! The arrogant one reckons he's safe since he's one of the top 20 players - a very temporary statistic, I hope! When I complained to scarr that he did not warn me, he pointed out that I got my warning when I entered KF, and the whole point of being there was to PK unsuspecting people. He pointed out that there was no fun to be had if he had warned me, and that I would have (of course!) fled! So, what Mr scarr is saying is that it is okay to PK people having their private training sessions? Thankfully, I had nothing on, having learnt the hard way after being dropped into a PK map when I stumbled into the temple in MM! I should have remembered that curiousity killed the Eagle! On that occasion, I lost most of my shiny new kit, and I found out just how much damage a magic sword can do! Ok, I understand that scarr has done nothing wrong - legally - which is why I am not listing him as an outlaw. However, I would like to know: Is there a code of honour in PK maps? AFAIK, my guild is not at war with anyone I saw in the few seconds before I was terminated! Anyway, my dear scarr, in my book, you are totally without honour. Not even lions kill just for fun. It may be a while - ok, maybe a long while - but as soon as I am strong enough, I will be looking for you - if my brother does not get you first! flinto Report post Posted March 8, 2006 (edited) lol, I haven't heard the "I'm gonna get my bro, dad, ... line for a long time Just remembers PKers like scarr need items to survive - you can always put people on your no trade list. If enough do it it starts to hurt. Remeber you went into the PK map and therefore was wearing a huge target on you back (with I expect a strike here sign above your head) PKers are often unhappy with people going into kf unarmed and weak as they see these people as there to jump bags so I understand scarr's reaction Andrew PS I never thought I would be on scarr's side :-) PPS forgot to add the protocol is "enter all who wish to die and lose things" Edited March 8, 2006 by Flinto
Ornitorrinco Report post Posted March 8, 2006 KF is the worst map if you want to train in peace.
Kedan Report post Posted March 8, 2006 one of the best place i know of to train is DP arena, and there is kind o a code that says if someone is training with someone else (in a fight with them) then you shouldn't attack them, but ofcourse PKer's need items so they wont all follow this, esperally in KF
kl4Uz Report post Posted March 8, 2006 Hello EaglePrincess! There is a code among players of honor, that says "don't attack without a reason. never attack people that are training". You will easily notice which players respect that code and which don't. Remember pk areas can be dangerous and you never know who will cross your paths. - kl4Uz
vwpro Report post Posted March 8, 2006 (edited) scarr here 1. u where not training 2. if u was i wouldnt mind kill u aswel, cuz i dont like newbs 3. u dont have a 'big' strong brother since i play 1-2 year and know the players above me in the top..who is ur brother?..no dont say u wont tell... 4. theres no such thing as a Pker code, its just some made up newb under newb thing problly Edited March 8, 2006 by vwpro
Dushan Report post Posted March 8, 2006 thats why u always need to wear diss rings when u enter pk maps. I dont know whats the point in opening this topic....
eagleprince Report post Posted March 8, 2006 (edited) Yo Dushan, Thanks for the advice about the diss rings, which are very useful when your attacker is 100 levels above you and you had no warning It is clear that you are just trying to annoy both myself and SMooMs, so I will ignore your arrogance. It seems you are going for the title of 'most (un)wanted', if the posts about you are anything to go by. As for you, scarr, thanks for letting us know that you are also vwpro. So I will tell my brother to look out for him as well! It is clear that you were never a newbie! As for my big brother, since you are dying to meet him, you will shortly be introduced to his sword! Thanks also, for confirming that you would have PK'd me even if I was training. You just confirmed that my distrust of you is justified, and you are completely without honour. At least you're honestly evil, so I have to respect that! I think you showed a lack of respect as well, as I was talking to the great DP when you took me out! Kl4uz, like your picture! BTW, I'm a prince, NOT a princess! See y'all in-game! Edited March 8, 2006 by EaglePrince
Pyewacket Report post Posted March 8, 2006 There IS a pker's code of conduct and its usually based on courtesy amongst honourable pkers, despite what scarr states. There is ALSO good pkers and bad pkers, Scarr fits comfortably into the bad pker role and is proud to be so. You will soon figure out the good guys from the bad guys, hopefully, as most of them have guild tags on and the guilds reflect the nature of the pkers that inhabit them. Since bad pkers exist, they vehemently avoid any acknowledgement of a code of conduct, which is to be expected, really..they ARE the BAD guys after all I am from one of the good guilds, by all accounts, and Scarr is not. Nevertheless, he openly admits to playing the evil role and despite being an enemy of my guild, he has my respect for that. I'd advise you stay out of KF, eagle, for the time being, until you have built your char up to sufficient levels to be able to either defend yourself long enough to escape from being attacked, or alternatively go along with the full knowledge that you will once more be making the Walk of Shame from Hell. (If its any comfort I expect to make that walk EVERY time i go to KF!) - PYE

Ghrae Report post Posted March 8, 2006 Is there a code to KF? Sure: Prepare to be killed. (Or at least attacked).
eagleprince Report post Posted March 8, 2006 Oh great! Thanks a lot Ghrae BTW, I thought cyclops(es) only had one eye, as opposed to four in your case!
Ghrae Report post Posted March 8, 2006 (edited) BTW, I thought cyclops(es) only had one eye, as opposed to four in your case! Don't get your joke in reference to Cyclopse. Either way it seems that you're not very princely to start mocking people because they wear glasses. Seriously though, we've had people complaining about KF (and other PK maps) since the dawn of this game. What do I tell them? Don't go into that map with anything unless you're fully prepared to lose it. Edited March 8, 2006 by Ghrae

Seriously though, we've had people complaining about KF (and other PK maps) since the dawn of this game. What do I tell them? Don't go into that map with anything unless you're fully prepared to lose it. I wear glasses as well, and get called four-eyes quite a lot! These days I really don't mind, although I have to confess it used to annoy me when I was (much) younger. Sorry if I offended you, and I really am a prince! I suppose that's good advice, but maybe people should be warned that they can't beam out of PK maps? I already had '#beam me' typed, but as you noticed, it did me a lot of good! Nidan Report post Posted March 8, 2006 if you had #beam me typed, how where you talking to Don? Seriously tho, you had a big red warning before entering the PK map. People PK you because that is the purpose of the map. Of course not everyone attacks naked players, but dont expect someone to warn you before he attacks you. Scarr: I am gonna attack!! :Scarr takes a big swing to hit... air
MagpieLee Report post Posted March 8, 2006 Kill-or-ran field. I think thats a fair protocol there. But yeah man, I expect to be attacked when I enter that map - its a hot bed for being attacked.

LadyWolf Report post Posted March 8, 2006 (edited) 1: #beam me command does not work in KF 2: you got your warning that you entered at your own risk when you clicked the sign to enter KF, and then had 10 seconds to leave. 3: Scarr did nothing wrong. It is a PK map, you entered it, you got PK'd. What's the issue? 4: You were not training, so he did not attack you while training. 5: Your smart alec attitude is going to get you targeted quite alot. 6: Did you say sMooMs is your brother? That's funny as hell, since sMooMs is Scarr's big brother. 7: Again: PK is PK, you get warned before you enter. It is your fault you did not prepare before you entered. PK maps are not places to go into and sit and chat with the fighters. (No matter how much you wanna suck up to DonPedro..No offense, I'm in the same guild as him ) About point #7: I see this alot. The lower level (newbies) coming into KF and just "hanging out". It gets quit annoying at times, especially when you are trying to train/fight/flee and worry about misclicking some n00b that wants to chitchat. KF IS NOT A CHATROOM, IT IS A PK MAP!!! You enter it to PK. **EDIT** BTW, Who is your "brother"? Inquiering minds want to know. Edited March 8, 2006 by LadyWolf

Derin Report post Posted March 8, 2006 (edited) This is the moderator standpoint in this (which is also broadcasted in the game): WARNING: If you go into a PK map, you may die. When you die, you will lose stuff. You most likely will NOT get it back. This is ALL legal. Edited March 8, 2006 by Derin
vwpro Report post Posted March 8, 2006 he doesnt have a brother, if he had he would mention his name.. and if u had one, he prolly was my enemy anyways =)
Aislinn Report post Posted March 8, 2006 Warning! You just entered a PKing map! This means other players can attack you! Look familiar? This is not only the mods' position but the way the game was made. There were maps made specifically for the purpose of being able to kill other players during any situations as long as you are on that map. If you don't like it, DO NOT GO. It isn't like you don't have countless other maps to go to.
MoJo Report post Posted March 8, 2006 4. theres no such thing as a Pker code, its just some made up newb under newb thing problly I agree, the newbs made it up just to try and protect themselves from higher pkers
