For the UK people

Recommended Posts

If someone who lives in UK can get the LinuxFormat magazine (the January issue) and scan the page regarding EL and send it to me, I would appreciate it.

Alternatively, you can buy it and send it to us by mail, and maybe I can give you some ingame item in return, if you want to.

Ent - I've pm'ed you links to the images.

Y 4/10 for documentation ? I think the encyc is really über, so i'm wondering where they base their points on ?

Maybe for quests/stories, which aren't quite that many just yet... and the fact that the Encyclopedia goes out of date about as soon as it's published (which is a good thing in a beta game)?

Hiya peeps, hope the article was to peoples liking, I wrote the original but they changed pieces, and added the spelling mistakes...thats my answer anyway :omg:

Anyway, I gave low documentation because of the same reasons as above, at the time I felt personally (as it is a review/opinion) that there wasn't enough quests like you get with wow and everquest, and that the encylopedia, wasn't always up-to-date, for example most of the time if I need information I have to get from one of two really good EL websites, which means going out of full screen, searching for the info, and then going back to full screen.

Apart from that I hope it got more people interested. I know that they put the disk onto the cover CD! :P

LG

OK, maybe I should make a patch to autoupdate the encyclopedia. ( Not my fault client updates are so rare. :) )

Meh, but it's true. The encyclopedia shouldn't have to be obsolete for so long before it's fixed (maybe allow 5 days for sense of discovery, etc.); anyway, the autoupdate would work quite well, since it's not as if users will alter their encyclopedias often. Anyway, this (hopefully, and the translation maintainers situation certainly) should be addressed after the next update.
