Atreyu Report post Posted September 10, 2005 I searched through the forums and didn't find this. If it's been said, go ahead and close the thread. -When you're summoning, and get going, you start clicking mix pretty fast, right? If you get below the required mana and hit summon, sometimes it says, "You need 13 etheral points and you have 4 (example)" But sometimes, it doesn't. It just says you fail and lose ingredients! Sometimes it says you need 13 but have 4 (example), then you click again, and it says you fail and lose ingredients! This sucks. I would especially hate to lose ingredients for something like a fluffy.
70347 Report post Posted September 11, 2005 i know it does this with "You can't hold 1 (item)" messages but i have never seen it with too little mana.

Atreyu Report post Posted September 11, 2005 Good solution... thanks. No, but it would be better to have no bugs at all, so fix this.
Phenic Report post Posted September 12, 2005 This isn't actually a bug as far as I know. When you have low mana, you get summon fail and critical (ingredient loss) fail messages as you normally would. You get the low on mana messages only if your summoning attempt would have been successful. You don't always lose ingredients due to having low mana, you only lose them when you should have lost them to begin with. It seems that checking and/or taking mana points is the last step in the summoning process, maybe just moving it up to the first?
kl4Uz Report post Posted September 12, 2005 Imho that's a logic mistake. If you can't summon without enough mana, you can't fail an attempt to summon.

If you can't summon without enough mana, you can't fail an attempt to summon. 195890[/snapback] Actually, if you don't have enough mana, you should always fail if you are trying! Its just being nice and letting you know when mana was at fault instad of just a normal type failure. It's like going hunting and not taking bullets, you will always miss and your target will get away.
