:) Seems to me the best way of doing it would be a structured tourney style fight. Everyone gets paired up, each pair fights till one dies, the other wins and gets to heal before his next bout. Continue until one winner, all moderated by a few toughies who kill anyone who try to mess up the event.

Sir Kill-a-Lot... thank you for understanding the subtle reference. It was just my way of saying, if it wasn't a problem before, why is it a problem now?

It's either no limits, or no contests.

If you want a PK contest with limits, you will have to pay for it (10 USD/contest). Our time is not infinite nor worthless.

And yeah, it is kinda funny that Ent makes hard and fast rules in a game he doesn't even play.

Playing is not a prerequisite of making rules.

God doesn't 'play', but he makes the rules. Bush doesn't live in Iraq, but he 'liberates' them anyway (ok, bad example, it proves the opposite of what I am trying to prove, but you get the idea).

It wasn't a problem then because their was a community, it's a problem now because their is lack of community. BTW the L in my name isn't capitalized.

And yet guilds like Riva continue to flourish...

And I don't see how killing each other is a sign of community. But I also don't see how level limits would solve what you claim is a lack of community.

Good call and good points.

Riva has had it's high point, and is going down like EL it's self.

We had group PK contests, now their isn't more than 3 PKers in a group who doesn't hate each others guts. Level limits would allow more contests.. Something of amusement in this game, letting other same level fighters get to know each other. Instead of a lower fighter get run over by Satan, or the Don.

Well, I'll have to agree to disagree.

Regardless, Entropy has laid down the law. But people should be aware of the reasons behind it (as I have tried to do).

Which rules did god make after he stopped "playing"? I mean, it's not like he suddenly said: "I wonder what the humans are doing... What are they flying around for, that looks silly. Let me just make the law of gravity" ;)

Also, not everyone has the same religious beliefs. ;)

BTW. Since there isn't any NH who feels they have the "time" to hold a level limited contest, I would do it. But i guess not

I don't think it's a matter of time Sir Kill Alot. Perhaps you just glanced through the previous posts and did not take the time to read them and understand the challanges of looking up each persons's stats, etc...

Open IE > type www.eternal-lands.com > click players online > click player name. Try standing at entrance and checking stats before they are allowed to go to the contest, it is just a matter of time. Not difficulty. :P

PKers lining up for orderly inspection and not doing what they want because they are impatient?

That wasn't old EL. That's not current EL. Not sure how you figure they'll do that.

Pre-Contest sign ups? #bc 5 mins before a level limit contest. If someone doesn't sign up they are sent to hell as soon as they step foot in KF during the contest. Catch pls? Ohh pls no catch. :P

LNX guild members (and their allies) can PM tuxedo for full stats of any player. Used to be open for everyone...

Having a similar bot for mods to check stats, or having the current one accept moderators... or having a moderator temporily be in SegV or LNX to do a level limit contest?

You're so right Sir Kill Alot. It's all about leveling. That's why my best skill is Harvesting. Of course, that only takes 10 minutes. But then I need to spend the next 50 minutes in mental preperation for the next Harvest Hour.

Psst: If you want to encourage change, suggestion solutions and not putting down people might be a better way. But then again, that's just me.

Why encourage change? Ghrae you and me both know.. People have suggested tons of things that would make this game great, yet more than 3/4 of them don't get in.

Do all good ideas get in? No. I agree. I can think of some logical reasons. And I'm sure some just slip through the cracks.

But why complain if you don't want to find a solution? Even if it is ignored or beyond the abilities of the developers, at least you would have answered the problem with vigor. Challange them, don't criticize them.
