With 54 pages of word association, i don't think there are too many people who don't have some posts there lol

I am just surprised somebody would put so much effort into an anit-platyna campaign having been here such a short time...her history goes way back and I can't imagine you have so many complaints against her that in that amount of time you would want to go through all this...people who have known her a year and have complaints don't go through all this.

And yes, you do sound like you know what you are talking about as far as the game itself goes...

Which is why i thought maybe you might be somebody else who has played a long time. I guess that was more a compliment than a random insult thrown around

<_< I usually try not to double post, actually, but since the last post was kindof a joke in my psychotic sorta way, I figured I should seperate the serious post here, before anything I say gets taken outta proportion.

 

I will begin by swearing that I've never met any of you before a month ago, tho proof is obviously impossible there. I did a search for a free rpg to play online, and I came up with a page that linked to EL. There was a cool looking pic on it, and I said to myself, this might be the one to replace UO. And while I still miss UO, (fully customizable ownable houses, much better manufacturing systems, a massive and stable economy that involves players selling things for real money), I like this game, and I like most of the people I've met here so far.

 

:lol: Yeah, I imagine 160 posts is a lot for a one week newb. lol But I contend that it is not in numbers, but in content. I try pretty fast for a guy who never learned to type correctly, and I think an awful lot for a guy who never went to college. <senseless brag>Damn 163 IQ.</senseless brag> I had longterm players ask me how I was level mid 30's in my second week of playing. I quick wittedly replied, "I'm a newb, not an idiot". To which I was told that the two mean the same thing. But I digress...

 

I kindof do the same here... Join in the fray, pick up pretty quickly what I can, get in a good brawl or two with people whose only fault is that their personalities clash with mine. And somewhere in there I get the notoreity for being mean and vicious, which isn't altogether true, but I would like for people to know that I'm really just trying to help with the entire community, in the long run.

 

And my final thought: I'm not on the anti-Platyna campaign. I ain't Daxon, lol. I didn't like how I saw she treated people and her position as ch3 mod. I haven't even posted all the problems I've had with the way she's acted there, or in these forums. I think her attitude makes her not a good NH, in all honesty, although I think she should stay and play as a normal player and enjoy the game, without the drama of being "forced to leave", which was never true. I don't want her booted and go live in a cardboard box with no food; I don't hate her or anything. I just honestly think she's made a terrible mod in just the few short weeks I've been here. No love lost.

As for helping community, I do that when people ask for help, and I do it in my own way. *points to where it says "offtopic"* Enjoy.

against me. Very funny when a flamer and spammer from the market channel moves on

Well, 50 votes. Not as many as the other poll, but I think this one says more...

 

No one who thinks she cheated thinks she should still be a mod. So nobody's playing favorites. No one who thinks she didn't cheat wants her gone. So no one has it out for her that doesn't think she cheated.

 

Eight people say Plat cheated, twelve think she didn't. Twenty seven of us don't know, and don't base our opinion on the macroing. Looks like it's a nonissue for most of the polled. Six people want her banned, or to go away on her own for good. Twenty six think she should not be a NH. Fifteen think she should be a NH, less than 60% of those who think she shouldn't. (That means most of the people who voted, DON'T want Platyna to be an NH anymore.)

 

No matter what people post, there's the numbers. This poll shows that the community doesn't want Platyna to be a NH. It also shows that they don't want her gone. So the community wants you to stay, Plat. Are you going to disappoint them by running off with your tail between your legs, because you can't be a mod? Apparently that wasn't what you were so good at. Stick to encyclopedias, they're much more forgiving to the attitude.

 

I am interested if any of the three that abstained would like to say why they're not casting a vote? Oh, and Aero, I'm moving to a new apartment, and won't get cable there till Wednesday. I should get things up and running again for ya, and I'll PM you.

Actually, I did a search on the net for spammer... Seems that all definitions I found relate it to email spamming, and have nothing to do with forums. Terms such as "flooder", "troll", and "flamer" are more pertinent to forum posting. I did eventually find this on urbandictionary.com:

 

1. Someone who post needless amounts of crap on a forum.

3. Someone who will up a chat window with the same thing repeatedly, or something that means nothing at all.

 

Of course, "crap" is very subjective of a term, since I'm sure nearly every post in every forum could be considered crap by someone. I am certainly keeping to the topic of this thread, so it's not "needless", imo. I'm not upping the chat room repeatedly, except in response to people posing the same question or statement toward me in this thread.

 

However, you are right about right to voice opinions. That's the funny thing about freedom of speech, it's okay to say what you want, and it's equally okay for people to object. I don't really think this falls under the jurisdiction of rights, since even flooders, spammers, and other crap posters are allowed to post what they want. And I'm allowed to object to people spamming up a forum with quotes, to post one word response. And you have the right to say you think mindless quoting is more worth posting than my thought out and occasionally researched posts. And I have the right to say your opinion sucks. So what's this all got to do with rights? Oh yeah, nothing, before you mentioned it. That would be offtopic, so you're spamming my thread. And now I'm spamming by responding to you. Woah.

You didn't waste your time here, as long as you enjoyed the time you spent. It sounds to me like you came home from a hard day at work to relax on a game. That's not time wasted.

 

Although, for responding to 'us guys', you always seem to forget I'm here... lol No biggie, just thought I'd mention that. The votes in this thread aren't really changing, even as more votes trickle in. Most people still think you should play, Plat. They just don't wanna have you as a NH anymore.

 

The only sad thing is people are willing to quit a game over what someone else gets into. I mean, I've seen a lot of people getting PKable, banned, maybe deleted over discrepancies over the rules and mods that have too much power in the game. Not to mention mods actually having to admit they were wrong in making these decisions. And yet, I still play. I'm not quitting till they target me.

Well, I would still play if I would be degraded if I would for example really use a macro,

I would be ever very grateful I got only degraded and my char is not removed and my

IP is not banned. But it wasn't that reason. And even if I loved the game some values

such like honour are more important. Of course some people, especially youngest one

will not underestand it. I can't win the war declared by Mihaim so I am leaving the

battlefield.

And about GarD and other guilds: I was always staying away and kept my guild away

from the politics - I personally dislike it IRL and in game. I never judged a person by

his/her guild tag. So, I can't say I liked or hated GarD. It was Daxon's stupid propaganda.

Personally, I don't care what guild you are in.

Plat, if you really were macroing and only got degraded, people like Daxon and I would only have that much mor reason to go wtf. I fully expect that if I'm breaking rules that I'd be banned, PK'ed or whatever. Justice is swift, deadly, and not always very fair in this game world. You learn to deal with it. But I'd be spamming out hater-threads a hundred words a minute if I felt that a NH was getting preferential treatment.

 

Again, I tell you, you can put all the words in to make it feel like more than people whining over politics in a forum, but it's not about honor, justice, world peace, friendship, or anything else. You've pissed off people, people who don't want to reconcile with you. That's life. Let them be pissed. When that happens, you hafta be strong enough to let them live their lives, and you go be a player like the rest of us. There's a few people I won't name that I suspect don't like me for things I've said, but I don't worry about them banning or deleting me. If it happens, it happens. I play for the time I'm playing, not to look back and wonder if I accomplished anything.

 

If I don't get paid, then I didn't "accomplish anything". Everything else is a journey to enjoy the road, not to get to a destination.
