Entropy Report post Posted February 10, 2005 I made a coffee can antenna (different than a canntena) for my cellphone, because where I live there coverage isminimal. chatterbug89 Report post Posted February 11, 2005 I have never heard of it beign done on a cell phone I have yet to try makign oen thou...my router dosne't have a plug where I can plug in an external antenae and i'm not goign o break it open and modifie it...i'll probaly try it some day thou. Entropy Report post Posted February 11, 2005 I didn't hear it either, but I did it anyway. I did get a slightly improved signal, but it seems that there is a problem with the transmission. Laptop adapters are also available. I said that you couldn't, by any possible definiton, make a wifi network go 2 miles. Making it longer by a few feet isn't that big a deal.
