Using Vista on a Dell Inspiron 9400(E1705) with a nvidia 7900gsNo go I can get as far as to the login screen, but when it tries to draw the gaming window, I get a CTD without any error messages. No *log*.txt files in EL dir either.

I've thought alot about this (contact me if you need a coworker), and I just wanted to point out that you could take some item as security. Say for a 10k loan, you would take an item worth 12k as security, and keep it if the client did not pay you back...

I see your point, but with good tweaking I think it would be useful: 1) You don't have to pay for the book, the teacher would charge a small fee 2) At a high skill level/attribute level, it *would* be faster (say 100% faster or more) Imagine gathering by the fire to let ttlanhil teach us about Skeleton Fighting ^_^

I vote yes for storms ^_^ Would be cool if it made people gather inside for short periods ^_^

What we WOULD need though, is >18 limit on the Suggestions forum to avoid pure deconstructive and childish remarks

I was thinking loudly about "inventing" a teacher skill, and ttlanhil told me about this thread. A teacher would be one that could teach the content of books that he/she had already read to others. - The teacher would have to be next to the "student" and pressing a button to teach - - a) it would be a skill - - b ) it would depend on one or more cross attributes, say charm, percpetion and rationality - - with the above, you would be able to teach faster (starting at say 5% of normal book reading speed) when getting levels/attributes up - - c) it would be an expensive perk, and you would be able to teach at 50% of normal book reading speed - There could be a limit at 1 teacher and 1 student for teaching, or no limits for both - With no limits for student amount, it would make it a little slower the more students - When teaching, you would have to eat more often - When learning, you would have to keep the food level over 0 to learn anything - Teaching would need either - a) both student(s) and teacher(s) having the book - b,c) student(s) or teacher(s) having the book - d) no-one having the book I'll add if I come up with more ideas...

(...) Side comment: I am curious what is wrong with being shown the rules if you ask what the rule is. That IS why we have them ingame now. Um... I sad I asked if there were official rules for channel 3. Not official rules that goes for all channels. Banning a user (you can't disagree that's what it is) for 1 minute is a pretty mean punishment for asking a question like that.

(original post deleted) Never mind... maybe me buying 200fe and 300 raw meat in the middle of the night had something to do with the money dissapearing

I'm curious about the rules for the market channel. Are there only three allowed approaches: 1. Buying 2. Selling 3. Price check This doesn't seem like a realistic market to me. People DO discuss prices on a real market, both sellers and buyers. I'm asking about the rules, not the enforcing of them. I'm asking because a mod flamed me (first making me view the GAME rules for 1 minute, then claiming I don't think while playing) when asking about discussing prices on channel 3, and if there were official rules for channel 3.

There's no such thing as a free lunch... -_-

Sorry :glare: Topic you are reffering to is here. I usually just read through the to-do and not-to-do list, as people often name their threads wrong/misleading, which causes bad/no search engine hits. I know this isn't an excuse, but it would be nice with an update of the mentioned list.

Makes sense. And you would stay "physically", and visible for other players in the previous map until the new map was loaded. Maybe even a 1-2s delay after viewing the new map, before spawning. You normally see a place before walking there.
