NMW unbreakable - I still would like to see normal NMT breakable, and NMW unbreakable (give tailorers a chance!)
And elke, how do you get the item list thing? I keep seeing it mentioned, but no-one ever mentions how you get it >.<

at lvl 85 i trained fluffy, somewhere in 90s i began feros. whole point of training on them is they are easily killable without any weapon whatsoever. Their just cannon fodder in invances that cause def penalties and distraction while you kill the bigger stuff.
Bigger Stuff that are quite slow to kill in 80100 without rangers are MCW and Yeti. Giant always need rangers or those blasted little blues that people keep summoning .
Poor mob choice, and I don't really like the idea in general why should i stop doing normal instance for something that looks less fun?

Stronze - remember there are touchscreen phones without any buttons :x
Domino - looks good

Two ideas for sto/inv
- You get the inventory displayed, you tap the item you want, select what you want to do with it (equip, drop, but in sto, trade), and it does it. If you click on trade or sto, that window appears showing the object you put in. A little fiddly, and can be slow for multiple things, but then I guess you have 'Store All' Dunno if this is possible for EL.
- That, or turn device landscape, display two lists: Sto and Inventory, and you drag the item from inv into sto and vice versa.
No idea about work to implement and stuff, just two ideas I've seen implemented in iOS and Andriod RPGs

- Curious about why those level caps
- Flipping between single and multicombat means you'll need to either be tele'd to new map when moving between single->multi waves or passing through a door or cave of some sort. The first options would be prefered by the Hellspawners for obvious reasons
- Why would we do this instance when we can do the established 6080, 80100, ect. instances?
90-110 would be where i sit in the instance you propose. what i see is quick boredome from fluffy/feros/dcw, their easily slaughtered. Never tried cockatrice or lOrcs, but giant would require arrows for the people in the lower end of the cape (96/98 ). And fighting the same mob in every wave, that'll become boring very quickly.
What you could do is make a smaller, seperate instance for small teams of 3 people without the ability to remove cooldown. For 80100, say, you would have 40 yeti, 14 naspas, 3 giant, and 1 laba (you can tweak, this is off the top of my head stuff). This gives those who like to do smaller teams the ability to do so without them farming the 'proper' instances and pumping out oranges (maybe replace laba with something equally hard, decent drop, but no orange drops )
My two pence

The point of this idea was to encourage PKers to PK in a way where they can win something if they are successful, while also not risking something enormous. PvP Training is not part of that, which is why xp could be removed to prevent abuse.
a 2-8 person map where armed people can have wars with the only risk being a coupla plats, that's nice. That would be a way to encourage people to try PK.
And for this to work in any way that wouldn't end up being dodgy and bad, it would need to be an official feature, an NPC run instance, not a bot service, which wouldn't work
Let's keep it simple initially: a Room where 2-8 people, in same channel, can enter and attempt to kill the others for a prize of a 1-5 plats, last man standing style. ofc people could tele out after killing one, but then they're not going to be able to kill further numbers and collect even more plats (risk vs reward: stay in to maximise plats vs dying and losing all your pretty coins). TO decrease the maount of programming, use an existing map (theli tavern), because if there is already a file of that map, it will still be easier than having to write a completely new one. And make that map non-drops, bar the plats. Simple.
Thelinor taverns itself should remain the same, maybe make NPc a little bit away from the tavern so we don't get MM Battle Hall style lures in Thelinor

You don't get very much exp apart from spells in PK, or from what little of PK i've done. Ranging exp isn't worth shouting about (PKAs aren't good for exp), and the att/defense experiance stops being given very early in the fight. So not entirely following you nathan.
-
I know some people carry like 40 Training arrows along with their PKAs to invance to help lure mobs and make them dis, thought it is not done by many.
Currently, I'm enjoying tanking bosses in a two-man scouting team, the other person being equipped in augs and a short bow. This I have found to be very, very good for killing lots of stuff really quickly

Summoning/range/magic should have exp given, since their fairly expensive for the good 'uns. Just make it have cut off exp maybe? so if people do want to use it for training, it works out as a money sink, benifitting economy (more gc out of game to balance the amount coming in)
No exp. simplest. keep it simple, which makes it more likely implemented. main problem, your trying to overcomplicate, and oricks trying to ditch the idea, saying you could do a botched and bad job version of it with bot. again, i plead you look at the original and built on suggestions, instead of throwing them out. Elf has thought it through well imo

EDIT: better alternative if you don't like the quest or the idea behind it: don't start it...
No bothering to, it's harving and timebased.... two things that I don't like
Acelon - the new quest, would any of the them be something new? because driaia has been recovering from the great war for like 10 years and the dwarfs are still trying to decide on a new healthcare system... would be nice if the story would continue

I have alt now at rank 19 in guild, so i can now instantly get you in, even if im in J&H at the time.
So PM me or atomos if your interested, we except accept all people.

I agree with preventing outside help in the manner of bombing or healing fighters... but preventing fighters from summoning gets rid of a tactic in PK, which is something you ultimately do not want to do. No experiance also. But make the map relatively big, so people can range, and you can have multiple persons brawling against each other. Just keep entire tavern PK, but make a copy of the map - much like we use a copy of iscalrith for invance - that doesn't give exp in any skill and is undroppable for the fight. When done, teleport back to bar handler, like you suggested. lets keep to elf_ninja's plan, because that seems to be the most thought through and most difficult for outside help and scamming to occur
-
So you have to harv during a certain period of time. Interesting. I am one of the people who would probably feel the need to use a walkthrough, because checking every hour to see whether i can progress through the quest doesn't strike me as an enormously entertaining thing to do. Those who don't want to use walkthrough can choose not too. those who do, why stop them?
-
Here is another way to make it so people can't solo them... Make 2 paths to fallow for the lower lvl creatures that is a long enough that it can't be backtracked... That might just be a whole new instance idea tho
Don't like that idea splitting the team isn't a solution. And to make it long enough that you cannot back track would require a exceptionally long distance, and be frustrating to walk along. And then people will still get around it with speedhax and horses
-
Sounds good so far
If we can maintain the ability for people nearer bottom of range still being able to help in instances (with 88 attack I was adopted by a team) then everything should be fine if people can get in 100120 at 110~a/d

Still don't see why we can't have NPC run place doing this, instead of javing to rely on events...
-
I think it would work better if it was a proper arena run by the game, not a player. And elf suggested that it is only plats that drop, so your nice BD set and NMT won't drop. In guildmaps, afaik, you are not allowed Non-drop arenas, so it would just be auggie battles....
Does not need to just be augies. Steel chain, shield and helm work well and non-dropable. In fact use it in some invasions now when it is possible things go from fun to ugly.
I have done PK in cheap stuff, the fights are short, especially if you bring in a short bow and FA... This suggestion would be funner if you could go into the tarvern with the stuff you take into KF... It would still be best if origina idea was implemented, because what will happen is rich people who can afford to wander in with rosto will go in a pwn the non-drop wearing fighters, which already happens, making this idea pointless. An ingame NPC run PK instance that means only plats drop, so you can wear good kit in, would be better.

Orick, I would like to say as a person who has instanced often in 6080 and now instances often in 80100, that they are rarely farmed and work perfectly well. Last night went on 6 man instance to 80100 and got 17kgc share - not bad, considering last laba drop was lame and one of the instancers was a suicidal dipshit.
I have also been told that 80100 is extremely risky and difficult to farm with scales. If there are problems with the higher range instances, fix those, but don't impose them on the lower lvl ones, where we often go with 5-6 man teams if we can ty

SO what I'm gathering are that Blues in instance are absoloute pains to kill, even with rangers, and that this prevents lower level people going in, because if your gonna have to melee a big mob, you want a few higher a/d players...
Damn Not like it's hard to convince groups to let you, as a lower lvl person, enter instance group, regardless of range, now you basicly forcing them to if they want a profit
I'm not a farmer, and I only use RD scales when I need to instance a day earlier due to RL stuff. Tough luck guys

What were the changes done to the instance?

I am unable to connect

thx scarr. Think that was 2005, or early 2006 Would that fit in?

I'd suggest Melanis tavern - it is much larger, is on major trade routes, rings are available there and not used by any quests.
The tarvern isn't used for quests, is already PK. It is also only a few trips from idaloran (Ida->NRM->Thelinor), making it close to the underworld, so people downed can quickly get back to have a rematch
New instance idea

Not had a chance to fight FT, I can see how someone in the middle of your suggested range could manage it if someone would tell me where I can find some and their stats
