After reading though the posts I like this way: - You can turn pk on with #pk command - If you pk another pk char you turn pk - You can turn off pk with the same command (but I think a month is too long, I was thinking more along the lines of 24hrs) - If you absolutely cannot wait you can buy a stone for 5/10/20$USD from the shop, this will stop you being PK straight away - You can only attack players that are plus/minus 10 levels a/d from you (you could make this 5) - If you die you will get 5 minutes to get out of hell, and run (you become pkable again after this time slot) - If you attack a summoned pk animal, you will turn pk, a pk animal will not attack a normal person The main difference I have found with EL and other games is that PK choice works a lot better when you have factions. This is because people become 'enemies' even if they don't know each other and will become pk just to attack them and have a bit of fun. This maybe why nobody has chosen it in the past. I can't vote though as I am not +50/50 a/d

But it could work, I played WoW in between this char and my previous and they always used it, if you were pk people would attack you, if you attacked a pk person you turn pk and people attacked you. But maybe people in EL have a different mindset. It even got to the stage whereas you were pk and you protected your village, that would increase the gaming at least in the roleplay sense.

I prefer another tack, where, the normal server is both, for example...... you first of all have a choice to be PK or not, #pk or some other command (your name tag turns red or something to show you are), second, if you attack a PK person or are involved someway with them, I dont know, urmmm multi-kill a animal, you are auto pk, unless you turn it off, with #pk (or other command) and then it takes 5 minutes to 'cooldown' and turn off. I have a 7950GTX Nvidia, which is way over the top for EL seeing as it plays on my laptop with a ATi 200M fine. At work I put in Nvidia 7300GT with 256mb these work fine, and run games like UT04 so will run EL.

I prefer that idea also, makes more sense. I would then have the incentive to buy the unlimited option.

I will take: Book of Iron Axe Book of Steel Axe Book of Titanium Axe Titanium Long Construction Titanium chainmail construction If you still have them. Foxblade

Sorry GarfieldClowntje, I missed your post!! I agree with your suggestions, it seems a fair proposal but I would have the specific higher and the non-specific lower. Actually make that swapped around. So: To JOIN guild: Need a level 40 in the specific skill to join the specific guild Need a level 35 in Harvesting to join a Harvest guild Need a level 30 in any skill to join any kind of guild.

How do you know if it is n00bs or a persons second char? I was originally linuxgirlie and then I quit and killed my char, I then decided to come back and create foxblade, she has crap levels at the moment (between 0-27) but I decided to splash out on good armor, I joined my previous guild LNX as soon as I hit 20 harv....but I am a previous player, but I could also be confused for one of those 'low-level' chars at beam. I do agree that people should play a little more, maybe make the skills of a Guild Leader higher(?) or make sure that no skill is a 0, but where do you draw the line?

I would prefer more sound effects to the music. At the moment when I play I tend to listen to my own music or nothing at all, it really depends how you want to take it, for example when I played WoW you couldn't really listen to your own music because the sound effects were an integral part of the game...if you heard a big growl there was a big dragon somewhere! and I would tend to have the music still on but set to a lower level, but the sound effects turn up to full, as it felt a bit more 'realistic'

I would also pay to play though a proxy, as sometimes port 2000 is blocked for me.

Thanks At the moment I add a icon to the taskbar which allows me to swap between UK and US, running EL with US keyboard allows me to use 'shift + 3' as the hash key.
