  1. predictor knowledge

While it's (of course) listed correctly in the read-out as generated from the server-data, it's IMHO still a bug therein. It should be fixed to require the corresponding indicator knowledge. So this is really more a real (server-side) bug than a documentation bug in the encyclopedia.

  5. On my ubuntu laptop EL seems to fail very frequently with either 'invalid memory access' or 'invalid machine code' (or 'invalid instruction' - I need to translate back to English). I got information from the person who owns el-wiki.net that it was a server crash, but that all data are recovered; however configuration still needs careful checking. Yaka as site admin would look at it this coming weekend.

what about to grant a person as long immunity to *all* damage and treat the person as non-existant in terms of combat as long as s/he didn't move from their entry point?

Well, several people did it or tried it before the C2 invasion started. However agreed, it can be argued that it's not necessary to make it a portals invasion.

  15. BOMB PROTECTION IN PK!

That's an idea which I like - and likely should be solvable by an if-statement on the server side - and possibly some refactoring which includes to pass a "from" or "reason" parameter to the function which evaluates whether a tile is free or not
  16. BOMB PROTECTION IN PK!

Right, I didn't think of this kill method. I have to agree that this scenario definitely is not in the category of levelling the playground. EDIT: I guess slightly randomizing the entry points +-2 tiles or whatever is out of question? Or marking those areas as not-minable or no-engineering-zone?
  17. BOMB PROTECTION IN PK!

Honestly, I don't see the point in reducing the effectiveness of engineering. Mines and bombs *do* kill pretty fast - irrespective of anyone's physique and agility. Reducing their effectiveness ingame only helps to widen the gap in PK even more - thus it effectively kills PK more than it's already (and there are constant complaints on that matter). It's good and fair if also lower level PKer can kill a top-geared full-pick point person - no need that anyone can walk the maps and think that s/he is virutally immune to harm.

Is there any statistic on how often they *used* to break? I feel like it's breaking more often than before - but as you say - without some hard(er) statistical evidence it all boils down to be much more likely perception bias by a few users (including myself). If people have logs enabled, it probably is relatively easy to filter those in a scripted way for the events and the breakages.

  23. 1.9.4-RC2: invalid read

No, I don't have those new textures. And yes, I do get that warning message. However either the missing textures should be a fatal thing which inhibits start-up (and give a proper message) - or EL should ignore the missing textures gracefully upon load and simply draw the un-changed textures as before. Crashing is not exactly a good option Thanks for the download link, though. I'll give it a try later and see how things work with the new eyes' textures.
  24. More single player choices?

Those sound like nice things indeed Maybe that could even be made a player-to-player challange: * one player (the quest giver) gives the location (map+coordinates and a hint text to an NPC). And those quests are then in a list or queue available for other players to hunt. * The quest giver would get a reward when the location is found only, but maybe lower reward when found by too many * The questing people would get a reward when they find the location
  25. You know... the client is open source. You could start from that and implement it right there.
