  1. Girly girls heh heh

reminds me of everquest, the EQ mascot (enchanter with staff on cover of all boxes) gets breast implants between every expansion. By the time Lost Dungeons of Norath came out she was well into DD.
  2. Some ideas to make that boring hole in the ground a little lively, NPC'S: Condemned - People suffering eternally in hell (like the ones in greek mythology that have to push rocks forever and stuff.) Underworld Keepers - demons, imps, and other denizens of the under-regions. Perhaps some quests from these characters or underworld boss nps. Harvestables: Some unique underworld stuff maybe...regular stuff would be cool too (black roses and swamp candles etc.).
  3. Would be awesome if we could bind certain recipes to keys so i dont have to click 14 times (8 iron, 3 coal, 1 mix) to make 1 steel bar.
  4. Hotkeyable Recipes

exactly, i couldnt have said it better. There could be a limit on how many hotkeys we could make (say 2-3) so people would only do it for the things they were doing the most frequently. You could also just make it so when the player binds 'steelbar' to ctrl1 for instance it just fills his manu window with the goods from his inventory and he still has to combine it.
  5. I see need to put 2 sec delay on restore and harm but doing so for shield and other spells with no cumilative effects is just crippling to magic leveling.
  6. I have consulted with Tirashazor and we have concluded that red names (or any other distinguishible color that isnt the same as normal creatures) would be nice for summoned MOBs. Thankyou for your time.
  7. Red Names for Summoned.

i dont know, the name of summoner seems like even MORE stuff for the server to keep track of, its been laggy enough since the summoning patch.
  8. 1) Apply reducing caps on the amount of an an animal that can be summoned depending on lvl of creature. eg. # of Creature that one player can summon at a time. Rabbits - 20 Deer - 15 Fox - 13 Red/Green Snakes - 11 Brown Snake - 10 Boar -8 Wolf - 6 Puma - 4 Bear - 1-2 This way you dont have people with like two dozen bears or pumas running around. 2)Give summoned animals blue names or something that distinguishes them from normal ones.
  9. love the racoon and moose suggestions, i think moose would be slightly tougher though....they do weigh llike 600 pounds and stand 6-7 feet tall.
  10. I say that it should go down witch burning style...she is accused of being a witch and is burned at a stake in white stone town square (someone can model a cool wooden stake sticking out of the ground surrounded by hay for fuel). Then her ghost would stay as a quest npc at the stake. Would be really cool to have a retired npc from the "old days" hanging out and giving some cool pot or witch quests. think about it.
  11. Fishing!

Ok ill try to make this intelligent  It would be really nice to sit next to the cool reflective water texture and fish... Heres my idea: The Fish: There would be several varieties of fish, each recquiring a higher lvl of fishing skill to catch. Perhaps you could even catch baby sharks at the higher levels (like those cool 16 inch blacktipped reef sharks). The Tools: Fishing Rod -there could be say, 4 different rods in the game, each with better bonuses to the fishing skill. eg. lvl 0 Rod (anyone can use), lvl 10 Rod (must be lvl 10+ to use), lvl 20 Rod (must be 20+ to use), lvl 30 Rod (must be 30+ to use). Bait and/or Line -If Ent and the other Dev feel really adventurous maybe they could make fishing-line and different baits part of the game. At least having different baits recquired to catch different level fish would be nice (like the recipes other skills have except for fishing). The Point: -Fish would need some purpose, perhaps they could restore health more rapidly then bread, more health with the higher level fishies of course. Maybe even some exotic mana-restoring fish. -Another idea would be to have fish as components for another skill, future magic essence for example. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO POST SUGGESTIONS AND CRITICIM I HAVE POSTED A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT APPROACH IN MY LAST POST ON THIS SUBJECT, TRY THAT AS AN ALTERNATIVE.
  12. gotta be a way to make it more random, its no fun going into tournament if you know from outset that sk8erjosh or crus will win, and if not them vartican or me, and if not us then whoever is below us............exactly.
  13. Fishing!

do you think i should do a poll about wether fishing should be implemented as a harvesting-combat cross? About the 5 second fish period, i think thats a good idea, how about the game keeps fishing for you until your line breaks or bait is stolen.
  14. A pot lady ghost tied to stake would be good idea methinks, wonder what Ent or Roja have to say on the matter.
  15. Fishing!

yeah you got my english on that one, so does that mean no fishing? hrmm, What purpose could fish have in the game...
  16. Fishing!

Thats why A) it would have to be more like a combat skill then a sit and click one. and Fish could have some cool magical properties or something. Maybe they could be summoning regeants!! Imagine, in order to summon the super good unicorn or whatnot you have to catch the illusive rainbow trout or something!!!
  17. Fishing!

I must agree with SK, well ok i am a little biased, but it IS a fantasy game and im sure in a society where titanium bars can be crafted some smart cookie can design a basic pully system.
  18. Fishing!

wish ent would read this and give his opinion, i like your take on it though shadowknight, this way the its less sit and click.
  19. white rabbits

i got two dozen white rabbit furs just from walking from wsc to treetown like 10 times...even saw 2 on screen at same time....
  20. Table Of 3 (EL Main)

interesting plot, kind of choppy prose though.
  21. Fishing!

I like it, but how would your skill lvl, the line length, and the fish interact? is it like i suggested where its a combat skill of sorts?
  22. Fishing!

That sounds more like a critique of the game than a reason why fishing skill itself would be bad. How about this though shadowknight: Alternate approach. Fishing could be almost like a combat skilll, except just for aquatic creatures, using your rod and different types of bait you combat fish that have a certain amount of health. Instead of losing HP you lose bait integrity eg. Fishem buys bait 1 Worm and 1 Beetle. He then goes and finds a shark on a water tile (shown perhaps by a simple fin sticking out of water with an hp bar above it). Fishem then attempts to catch it with his rod and worm, however his worm only has 15 HP (or durability whatever u want to call it) and the shark easily kills it while losing only a fraction of its life. Fishem then uses his beetle, the beetle has 50 HP as it is a more expensive and durable bait, using it he manages to take down the shark while only losing 45 of his bait's HP/durability. In other words Bait is like a weapon and your fishing skill is your combat level, except that isntead of taking damage to yourself, the bait takes dmg.[/b]
  23. Fishing!

It would be worth the sit & click if fish had good uses. Like boosting different stats or actually replenishing health at a meaningfull rate (NOT like bread).
  24. Fishing!

So its like this: Your fishing skills determines what level fishing rod you can use, the rod in turn affects your chance of catching fish? That sounds decent, but what about different sizes, difficulties, and values of fish?
  25. Fishing!

If it wouldnt be too much trouble you could make certain water tiles that have picture of school of fish on them (think of Black & White when your creature can take fish out of water only where there is little school of fishies).
