alright, mods using commands to kill ppl with their minions and for sure
invasions gives more rostos at all.. but this is different story.
and don't tell me you ain't getting pleasure of see them dying/making them die
(and maybe i could enjoy too, and even leave hydro alone hehe)
but anyway why carry rosto on hydro route, when you can come there at low risk
of losing just a few s2es since you have geared harv alt placed in safe cave?
about bombs/protection:
there at least few ways to avoid 'em already (if you're smart enough to think..)
rc mines got nerfed by cooldown mostly because of whining that they ruin pk.
honestly, did it bring more pking after? but before even lower players had a
chance to kill 170's a/d to take their revenge or blew himself too ^_^
and you still wants protection for mines (high armor isn't enough?)
try to blow 460-495hp person first..
and if so then what is the purpose for mines besides eng quest? make some
peaceful fireworks ^_^
safe map changes? did you even try to bomb a moving person? it's nearly
impossible esp. when you've to predict where they step and placing enough mines
takes time too
oh and ofc mines are so cheap *sarcastic*

require some items/keys consumed to passage (ra:tax)

well tbh (as i see 'em) this quests are long terms run that goes through
allyour el life (maybe month, maybe few years or never) from beginning which gives you some benefits at the end (we all knows which ones). you are not supposed to get this quest as fast as possible or be guaranteed to have
if it was designed to just sink your precious items then npc could just take out you armor/weapons and give you perks, but again its long term quests..
and for those who so impatient why not ask to add new perk that increases breakage like 5x times but with expensive removal 50$ (requires 140+ oa to get this perk.. so #reset won't be abused) this way works well for everyone instead of changing something..
ofc it's posible to add stats per quest piece, but then no luck factor involved.. :>
btw completed all break quests just be patience and do it right way.. my advice just go back to training, not just dailies way.. -
lol why everything just ends up with increasing attributes cap? lack of fantasy/imagination?..
we got nexuses.. maybe its time to add few more? (there even space for 6 more without resizing statistics window) tho u wouldn't be able to buy 'em by hydro bars at costel, can be obtained by pp spent only.. and limit total pps at like 300 (total spent = basic attributes + those extra nexuses)
cap 'em at lets say 10, so it's max 10% bonus of something

and ofc more perks would be more interesting than just cap increase -

no hope gives 12% bonus on rcs, caltrops (for high mines actual damage is lowered by 10%)
there 9 effective squares to bomb (5 direct which gives you full damage and 4 diagonal which
gives half dmg and only then armor protection applies)

note: for high mines with no hope perk it works this way:
dmgf = full/1.1 - armor
dmgh = full/2.2 - armornote: never tried small or medium mines with no hope (no point, since base damage is low..)
u can calculate yourself how many mines you need to kill such target or any other
even if u got 100 lvl and no hope perk and use 1 high & 8 rc mines thats
93+67*4+14*4 = 417 dmg
9 rcs would give you 67*5+14*4 = 391 dmg
so you can see you need to use another rc mine+det pair to kill a person already
ofc person can heal at that moment and you're failed no chance to kill
ofc 9 tiles to bomb is best scenario, not every entry has 9 tiles available..
it's already hard to kill some people (not just expensive) and you're saying
that we need more protection?
it's not only about deadly entrances, u forget another aspect of the game such as
hunting ppl with one perk, additional protection would give almost "absolute"
immune for such ppl and free 6 pps (ofc if they ain't afk)
also good luck to kill a moving trarged (yeah posible but hard.. done that tho..)
5 sec immune on map entrance? good luck place 5+ mines within few secs and ofc
you would know where your target will go/step in
on map change u've just 1-2 sec to bomb before your targed is moved or healed
(belive me i've good practice) and ofc u've to know that someone actually coming there..edit:
oh and don't you find out that diagonally placed mines is just a waste? ^^
it's helps, but just a little.. tbh all those 9 squares should give full damage (or at least
80-85% on diagonal, not 50%..)
so how I could see it:
70-80% damage for diagonally placed mines (which is halved atm)

1 sec cooldown on rc dets when non-engaged
without no hope and 70% diagonal dmg (dd):
at lvl 100: 95*0.7-39 = 27 dd => 56*5+27*4 = 388
at lvl 50: 85*0.7-39 = 20 dd => 46*5+20*4 = 310
at lvl zero: 75*0.7-39 = 13 dd => 36*5+13*4 = 232
with no hope and 70% diagonal dmg (dd):
at lvl 100: 106*0.7-39 = 35 dd => 67*5+35*4 = 475
at lvl 50: 95*0.7-39 = 27 dd => 56*5+27*4 = 388
at lvl zero: 84*0.7-39 = 19 dd => 45*5+19*4 = 301
cost of 9 rc mines and 1 rc detonator set is: 2100*9+2350 = 21250
which seems fair for me, what do you think?
not so deadly in combat but still useful
still good for mining entracing and hunting oners
p.s.: and please remove "We entered the range of mine" for all except mine owner/placer
like you place caltrop/share/w/e in portals to look for oners and ppl immediately warns others
on channel 6 that there mines in portals -
* there already good protection against mines in game (not only armor, hp..). more protection
would just make leveling engineering pointless which ain't cheap to level and either to use
(well if there gonna be more protecion added i'd agree with rabbitman that should be
non-stackable, heavy and not cheap. but again if it would be hard to kill no1 would use mines)
* players shouldn't be able to place mines while engaged in combat (that's too radical
solution imho, better make it works like spells: 2 secs cooldown in combat and 1 sec
non-engaged which makes it acceptable during combat and still fine for mining entrances)
* "We entered the range of mine" this message nerfes usage of wards,snares,.. imho. only
person that placed a mine should know there's one ^^
note: you can absorbs more then half base damage of rc mines just by armor..
note: not all entrances allows you to place 9 mines (only 5 of 'em would do full damage) at
arrival point
note: mines doesn't last forever (which is bad ofc..)

hotkeys, no additional protection is needed besides putting cooldown on 'em in the way
described above (and don't forgets a fact that mines ain't cheap too (4450 for a pair of rc
mine and detonator currently on bots)

how about change cap system a bit, make it works like DPA, so that anyone can attack capped mob but when they fights it their a/d capped to cap lvl of mobexample:let's say you're 150 a/d char and fights 3 opponents: ft(cap: 100, a/d: 120), yeti(cap: 120, a/d: 125), giant(cap: 130, a/d: 145).when yeti hits you your def capped to (calculated as) 120, when you hit giant your attack capped at 130would bring alot of challenge, variations, strategies, invasions for all

The idea is nice but it's makes naked mages way too op'd (think about alts aspect)
Make a perk 'dedicated mage' (or w/e it called) that allows you wear special mage stuffs (robes, staffs, ...) and gives
Penalties:
1. -30% inflicted damage
2. -30% total damage 'prevention' (given by attributes, defense level and armor)
3. -30% a/d exp, also levels
4. more to decide..
Bonuses:
1. 10% more magic exp (they already has good bonus by rationality)
2. 5 mana regeneration per minute
3. half mana usage for spells
4. small chance to keep essences
5. more to decide..
Mage stuffs gives you different kinds of bonuses/penalties (alot variety can be done this way), you need magic nexus to wear 'em but they can breaks during spell cast and like any wearable item in-game.
The idea is to make mages actually risk stuffs too, like any fighter/ranger/.. does.

as for serious, c2 is more dangerous and designed for pros/advanced players/gameplaying style
be glad that invasion happened with a little warning at all, could be without any.. and thats kind the point of invaions tho.. not just farm land

I'm pretty serious but I knew the risk..back to topic, if you can't keep half eye open due harvesting then move to c1, there plenty same resources, yeah some may be more far from sto but iron (dp or nara), emeralds (nara, tg), and so on.. only gypsum are on c2 oh wait its ain't c2 cave but main map and ofc c1 invasions more rare, except GIWS..
