  1. i think they should be breakable unless mixed into a cape of no more warlock. 'solve' 2 'problems' with one stone.
  2. Nexus potions

People already #reset in full gear and leave it on till they earn enough to put back human nexus, I can see people doing the same with pots.
  3. It's a 'big belly' you goobs. lol
  4. Instance enter scam (don_jack)

    3 lefts will tho.
  5. NH and newhope

Have you ever tried going mad without power? It's awful, no one listens to you.
  6. Penguins

    penguins are awesome
  7. Pear finder cooldown

I like that adding cooldown to the finders will encourage more teaming up to look for the pears. Yay teamwork! I still think that, even with cooldown on the finders, there should be cooldown on the pears themselves too. One every 24 hours should do nicely.
  8. add cooldown on the pears. you can find one every XXX hours so that people have time to try and hone their hunting skills. Pear finders working like treasure finders would help on big maps like WS.
  9. Pears

Again, if we are talking about selective reading, I don't care about pears. I've looked for them for the amount of time that is fun for me, which is usually 10 mins. You are an incredibly insulting, pompous person Burn, I think that is a big part of this problem. Have fun up there on your high horse. Try not to slip because at this point, the fall will break your neck. I've said all that I think needs to be said about the Pears and I don't think the blue spam should be taken out just because you loath actually talking to people and don't want them to bother you.
  10. Pears

Here's your proof, btw, of the real bug, that people's names get shown in the blue spam. If it wasn't known that there were certain people doing it, that wouldn't be used as the lazy excuse to not try. Just picking that one saying of it, I've heard this nonsense a dozen times. And okay, ask me... Once Upon a Time malameo was the one who almost always found the pears. I hadn't started trying. Then I decided to give it a shot. It was probably TWO WEEKS before I found my first one, and that primarily out of the luck that it was an off hour and I didn't see anyone else looking. During those two weeks, malameo continued to find pears long before I'd even find the map. But practice made perfect (*I honed my skill*) and those weeks of practice led me to finding better ways to checking the maps. Now, 4+ years of actually taking the time to look around at the maps had already given me a good knowledge of the maps, though not exactly where every harvestable was, I had a good idea of where to look. I took time out of my daily grind and power-leveling to mark maps, look around, get very familiar with the harvestables on each. So once my map-finding skills were better honed, I could more quickly start checking all the harvestables on the map. Even still, in the end there's nothing but luck. Mala, Stivy, and I all searching IP once at the same time for the pear, I find it out of sheer luck. 20+ minutes digging around Grubani (along with mala and Stivy) and mala stumbled on it first. 2+ hours searching all of Palon Vertas (4 of us that time) only to determine it was in one of the dozen unreachable items. Yeah, that's easy. </sarcasm> And yeah, that's the part (the collective) you don't grasp, because you're coming in here with your completely unknowledged opinions trying to state them as fact. Yeah, I'm a damn good hunter. Because I actually took the time to learn patterns, hone skills, study the maps. Every single thing I did to work my way up to being one of the top pear finders is just as doable by anyone else in the game. (Well, with proper inorganic nexus, all harvest knowledge, and harv 95 or more is highly recommended though the pear is rarely seen in dung/amber). This is why I call the whiners lazy. What do you do to become a better fighter? Train, practice pk, whatever. What do you do to become a better pear hunter? Study the maps, learn good patterns, learn to control speed hax... yes, you have to actually practice. And yes, all that practice time comes with essentially no leveling whatsoever. The trade-off. And I said "Ask Stivy" because he's the only one of late I've seen who hasn't been just sitting around lazily whining, and actually trying. And finding pears before me/mala sometimes already. He may have a different story than mine, but he's proof that anyone can still start hunting and with trial and error eventually become a good hunter. But therein lies the problem, the whiners are too lazy to try. And again, I say, that's player fault, not a bug. No, people are using it as an excuse to not even try. And that's all it is, an excuse. Tone it down drama queen. Yes people are saying silly things about bugs or special non existent mod powers, but guess what, you're playing a game where there are 100-200 other people so you're going to hear some stupid stuff. Sitting here and insulting people isn't going to do anything to solve the problem. The blue spam isn't the problem, the fact that, atm, the game allows for a few people to corner the pear market is the problem. There's all sorts of stuff like that in EL that need to be looked at, let's start here.
  11. Pears

lol yes. i get fairly bored fairly fast. i'm also just not really playing el anymore so don't think that comment was born out of frustration that I can't find my own pears, it's not. It was simply an idea to remedy something that some people see as a problem. There are a lot of insults being thrown around and everyone needs to just grow up and try to solve problems like adults.
  12. Pears

    One person.
  13. Pears

how can people get better at finding pears if the same people find them over and over and over again, and fast? people are not going to keep going around trying to learn all the harvables and map out a good route if there is no more pear to find. i'd like to suggest a pear cooldown time if some people are going to be so obsessive about finding them.
  14. They buy the character that's been trained by 100 people 24/7 and is an unnaturally high lvl-ed beast. then it doesn't matter if they are good or not, they just crush everything. there are tons of pk areas in the game. keep switching up where you train and it's less likely that you'll be found. train in augs.
  15. cloak buyin npc

lol wizzy, what forum do you think you're in? ;P
  16. New invance rules discussion

You shouldn't have to ask if you were obviously there and helping. If you don't want to be bothered keeping track of who is helping you then just leave a bag on the ground for the rangers to deal with among themselves. Maybe it's not the rules that need to change, maybe it's the programming. 'Nice enough to share' is a crap way to look at being fair and honest. I can ask for it not to be 'OK' for some people to walk away with a ton of gc while others lose it. You're not going to convince me you are right, I'm not going to convince you I am right, we should prob stop or take it up in forum PM.
  17. New invance rules discussion

why the hell should i have to ask to be compensated for my help? if you see someone ranging for you, share with them. nice and simple too. especially at the end of the invance when it's just 6 or 7 drags nice and spaced out and you aren't running from a ton of other mobs. hell, leave it on the ground for them to step on and grab a share. i can see not having time, or not remembering who helped you out in the heat of battle with tons of stuff around, but at the end there is plenty of time to see who's shooting arrows for you.
  18. New invance rules discussion

rangers rarely get shares on dragons +1. It's really crappy that some people are trying to indicate that the way drops are divided now is fine. It's not. For some people to always lose GC while giving tons of damage (rangers) and for others to always walk away with profit because they were the one engaged in the fight and that's how the game gives the drop (tanks) is a pretty crappy situation that only the people who are walking away with profit wouldn't want to change. I'm not trying to start a 'this class is more important and needed than this other class' war here BUT there is a problem with some people always getting profit and some people always taking loss when everyone helps out for the win in the end.
  19. New invance rules discussion

+1 It would be really great to see the game deal with this stuff rather than asking the players who are already busy trying not to die to watch and report on other players.
  20. New invance rules discussion

3 yes. 20? no that's just lazy and that is what happens in the 120-200. Also, I hate how people think in rostos for radu. Losing rostos sucks, especially now that the price is so damned high. What is fun about a game where you have to work for 2 or 3 days to have 1 hour of actual fun? I'm all for someone making money for the work they do, but when people have to start thinking in rostos to try to make something seem enticing, well that just sucks.
  21. New invance rules discussion

the number one thing that used to tick me off when I did invances were the people who stand afk at the gate when there are still 3 or 4 mobs left. even if you can't fight them, you can help look for them instead of going afk. I think this is a pretty good idea. I know the rangers get screwed out of a lot of drops because some tanks don't share. I don't think any ranger has ever gotten any share of blue dragon drops since they were added. As a ranger I would very rarely even cover the cost of arrows while tanks that had been heavily helped by rangers would walk off with 10, 20, 30k in profits.
  22. it's very important to think positive at times like this. good luck and chin up.
  23. To: PKG From : olenthered

umm cher did you read the thread? olen stole from them, not the other way around and i don't think there is even one post with anyone boohooing in it.
  24. To: PKG From : olenthered

You do what you do to be bad azz peoplez or you do what you do for a specific reason and goal. Figure it out, pick one, stop justifying, and just hush up and do.
  25. Quests

once upon a time there was a 'contest' where players were asked to flesh out a tutorial quest. and the people who actually play the game and remember trying to start it with the old crappy tutorial put together a lot of what you just mentioned. but alas, that 'contest' never came to a conclusion and a no so entirely different tutorial quest popped up. http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=52793entry530050
