I don't get it.......Why would you talk about another game? I mean if your talking about it because it is so great, then GO PLAY RS. I personally am sick of hearing about runescape. I admit I tried it once. I lasted about 30 minutes tops, before I said "This is more boring than watching paint dry" EL wins in my book any day. I dont see why people insist on bringing up RS. There are so many other games out there that come closer to EL in overall quality. I am just waiting for the P2P version to come out and when that day comes I am sure I will never hear the name runescape again. (At least not in game) Again I stress!! If its such a good game, then why are you HERE talking about it? Thats my two cents. Thanks Garrin

Hello, Ok I remember playing about 9 months ago and I had the same problem. When I FIRST started playing and created a character it looked normal. (Clothes, head, shirt,boots etc) Then there was an update, and the graphics were screwed up (Picture below) I dont recall if anyone knew a fix back then or not. I also didnt know if I should post here or in Bugs section so I flipped a coin. In case anyone is wondering I have tried both the normal and CVS version and have the same problem. Any help would be appreciated. Right!! Why hasnt he come on himself and offered an apology of any kind? I for one wouldnt un ban him until he speaks up himself.

No thats not how it was originally. And everytime I try an dmake a new character i have to try like 6-7 times just to get it right, which means deleting that character name over an over, and sometimes just changing the name. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Garrin

Well.....like i said, I am dumb. lol What are you saying? It worked for me before, then one day I opened it and Viola. Tiger stripped characters. It cant be my computer because as I said I had it working properly once. Unless an update changed something in the graphics of the character creation window?

I dont know what navarre was or was not doing tonight, but I do know that he wasnt totally AFK. I was talking with him most of the night....off and on. I just wanted to say that He IS a nice person, and I dont think he is the type to Intentionally break the rules with any kind of ill intent. Whenever he is on he is usually pretty talkative, so that is how I know he is not the afk macro type. I cant say for sure what he has done if anything, but I do know he is a good guy. I think that either of his suggestions as punishment would be more than enough for him to learn his lesson. As he said, and as I have witnessed myself, he is a very dedicated player, and a pleasure to know. I know i am in his guild, but that is not why I am coming to his defense. It is because I have read a lot of these "Who got banned and why" posts and a lot of people who have done a lot worse, got off with a harsh but justified punishment. I only suggest that Navarre be treated the same, of course whatever punishment you all decide on will be totally understandable, but I just think he deserve's another chance, even if it is his LASt chance. I have read the last few posts....and am a bit confused. Is the new rule that NO bots are allowed at all, unless paid for? Or are Guild bots still okay? And if they are ok do they have to be a member of the guild?

First of all....I have NEVER seen a Bot Spam anywhere. At least not by my definition of spam, and second..... if it bothers you just type #ignore (bot name) I dont see the problem. You said.... 'so the only thing it's doing a service to is yourself.' Well? Who else would it service? I personally wouldnt take the time to DL and then adjust everything so that it DIDNT service me. All he has done is level the playing field. I think its great. Thanks Athosino.

Athosino you said your bot was based on Bongo's code. Is there any way you (Or anyone else) can post a copy of it? Or email it to me? I think I could make it work if I changed a few things.

A bot is a program that connects to the EL server and operates (usually) automatically. It's like a stripped down version of the client that is specialized for your purposes. You can make one by (and this is only my recommended course of action): 1) Get the client source code from the CVS. 2) Take a look at the source code and learn how to communicate with the server. 3) Break out your C skills and code yourself a bot. Ok well here is a stupid question..... What program if any is available for those of us who dont know C? I was just looking around and it seems that ELBot is only usable on Linux, and Alice .....well I really couldnt tell what system it works on. Are there any very basic bot programs out there for the "Programming Challenged" like me? lol Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Hello All. I was just thinking......a lot of people have taken the Hellspawn, and or Anti-social perk,and most if not all of them end up "Resetting" because they can't deal with the effects of these two perks, and so I thought that maybe there could be a new negative perk, named something like......Recall, or Penance where you can pay the price of the perk, for example Hellspawn gives you -8 PP's, and maybe you could make the cost to get rid of it equal to or even double (8 PP's-16PP's) the original cost to get rid of it. I am sure people would gladly pay that instead of having to reset and start all over from scratch. Also.....what about a sort of "Prodigy" perk where it takes you half the time to research books? I think that would be great. On the other hand, I think that either of these could possibly be incorporated into a cloak/cape. But then again I am not a programmer so I dont know. I Apologize if anyone has suggested anything like these already, but i was just thinking, and didnt feel like reading all of the posts in the forum. Garrin

Well speaking for myself, I took the Hellspawn perk thinking that there would only be a very small chance of actually getting sent to hell, but it seemed that every other tavern/general store I entered sent me to hell. I even got sent to hell, FROM hell, twice in a row, and that was what made me decide to reset. The description wasnt as clear as it should have been. Anyways, I still think these are two very good ideas. The cloak idea might be better. You could wear the cloak and while you are wearing it you wouldnt suffer the effects of the negative perk, but now that I think of it, you would probably have to make a lot of cloaks. I dont know.....just a suggestion. Garrin
