    afaik Magic protection only lowers the chances, not offering a complete assurance like the magic immunity spell does VS tigers.

     

    Anyway, the map will remain as is, as a reminder to the: "Omfg, the rostos/cooldown/blah/blah" ruined the PKing.

    ...i certainly never said that... i hope the people who did realise that perhaps they dont have the foresight they think they do.

     

    I said it too, as would the majority of old pkers I think :D

    When iron plate etc.. were the best items in game they were expensive too, especially titanium serp, so I don't see any difference between now and then allowing the best armors and weapons to be used.

    Iron plate were used for show off and by p2p n00bs so pr0s can kill them faster on pvp with thermal, it has big negatives when fighting vs thermal, if u were pr0 u pked in tit chain+ leathers which were quite cheap( tit chain didnt even need efe in the old times, and iron pl8 needed 1 efe :lurker: )

     

    Don't lie :)

     

    Best pker went in naked with tit long and a few HE/SR, came out with full suit of tit chain/serp, leather pants/boots, mirror, moon med and iron helm :(

     

    Naked PKing was teh win ^^

    It won't effect it negatively, but how many people are going to stay and fight, losing lots of HE/SR etc over a 50gc/kill fluff spawn? The gains, if any, would be tiny, really not worth the hassle and also possible loss of rost/drops.

     

    Make it 100gc per fluffy then, you asnwered your own question.

     

    Not really, if you stop and think about it you realise that as you make the money rewards higher, all you are doing is rewarding the players who are already strong enough to make money off of other monsters if they want to. If the reward is good enough to make people want to go, it will be big enough that the strongest players will simply want to hold a monopoly over it.

    ah my bad, misread what he said.

     

    I still don't see it increasings PK activity to any noticeable degree, implement it so I can find out ;>

     

    oh, and I can still understand what i wrote, I can only assume robotbob has some kind of deficiency going on? Make the connections, take a moment to think about what I wrote and if you still need help feel free to PM me :)

    What you need for that is an incentive. before rosts we had drops, now we have nothing. Every other successful PK orientated game has some kind of reward be it drops, honour points, PK points.

     

    all EL has is either the fun factor, which only lasts so long before you get fed up of the constant time and resource drain, or the sadist factor of causing people losses, which is only for a select few ;>

     

    I'm all for the idea though, more money :)

     

    \O/ Better drops on PK maps. This is not incentive to be on PK maps how? If you get people into PK maps with higher gold coin drops as incentive then you have more players in PK and people attacking them just to PK and other players attacking them just to get the spawn. On Tarahji Desert there aren't even any rostos to stop the players from dropping their training gear. We have PK points as far as I know and this would add the extra draw of monsters that drop good enough coin to pay for training on them too.

    Read the description of Rostogol Stone. People will get more drops from mobs, but they aren't going to drop that if you kill them. Anyone that gooes to TD will be in shitty gear.

    and that gets you what? Where is the reward? You cannot spend them, they are not an accurate representation of pk skill or prowess. There are no fights for control of castles or towns, no drops and no point rewards which you can spend. PK is merely a money sink, pure and simple. pki is completely irrelevent in this respect.

    Ugly forums :/

     

    These used to be so much more fun, active forums. These days they really are dead compared to how they were. Sure there was lots of flaming and stuff, but there was also lots of funny things. There were also more active members of the forums, all I see is the same people these days. Go back pages in any of the forums and you can see there were 2+ threads made each day, these days seeing one a week is good.... lol

    Everyone has different kinds of humour, being harsh about something and at the same time making it funny and obvious you still like the games is somethign I probably couldn't do. Don't be so quick to judge something you don't find funny.

    Just remember one thing: It's better to do something and do it well, making sure it is complete before you race ahead to add more things. Taking time to completely finish previous features will be time better spent in the long run. Much better to have a finished and properly working base than to keep adding part finished things onto the top of other part finished things :/

    lol it's not that he doesn't like them as games, he just focuses on the bad parts of them for the reviews. If you read other parts of his site he says he was inspired by the bad reviews you used to get in old gaming magazines, where they literally ripped the shit out of bad games.

     

    Don't watch them expecting acual reveiws, watch them expecting a laugh ;>

    I loved FF8, but I still agree with many of his points :medieval:
