    I understand that it's often the only evidence that can be provided, I just have a massive problem with the fact that something that is so easily faked can be used as evidence.

    The one I quoted. The "evidence" posted here is a joke. It's like proescuting someone, walking into the courtroom with a typed "confession" and trying to fob it off as evidence. People would die laughing.

     

    Its basically the same as me posting:

    It is ridiculous to even consider something like that as evidence, and as such any post with only that should be deleted, as per the rules. You can say "well people will be suspicious" but to be honest, people will see the name in the topic title and draw quick conclusions from there. The principle is completely skewed.

    I see no proof, I can make a chatlog like that in 30 secs. Why is this post still here?

    I'm sorry but I don't understand your comments, I don't know how to "make up" a chat log or do a screenshot and as for the previous post by spleenfeeder I did NOT edit the chat log either. Also you are over-looking the fact that I wasn't alone there was the other player in my guild there at the same time as a witness to the fact. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not a person who makes things up and I have a good reputation in the game. I take offence that you would think otherwise when I clearly state I posted just to warn other players in the game. You ask for the chat log to be posted and I did that, so if the chat -logs can be changed as you say, then why ask for one in the first place? Im sorry it just doesnt make any sense to me. I did what I thought was the right proceedure, if i'm wrong then i'm very sorry.

    Just annoys me when spleen quotes the rules whilst blatantly ignoring some others. I mean if you're going to enforce some enforce all of them.

    Love the idea! TY Ent for adding elements to make EL even more appealing to players. If what we request doesn't sound quite right to you, can the requester spend some time in PM with you to discuss what would work/not work?

    Upset me? Do you seriously think that there is anyone who has so little to worry about in life that something you say on an online forum would upset them? :/ Do you live in super happy land with no troubles by any chance? Seriously, I have better things to worry and get upset about.

     

    and falling back on the grammar/spelling error insults? Please come up with something better. It is not how something is said, but what is said. If people spent less time worrying about how they were perceieved (oops spelling :)), and more time worrying about what, and why, they said what they do the world would be a much better place.

     

    back on topic: You care about the server, but only your image of the server. You think that if it is like this it will be busy and populated. They think that if it is like this it will be populated. The fact is, since at the moment you have no impact on it whatsoever their's is the idea that is happening. Maybe it won't work, we can only wait and see. If you really cared you would be on there training up to stop them and provide opposition. Since you are not I can only assume this "caring" is merely something to try and boost the way people view you on the forums, rather than something genuine.

     

    edit: Oh, and as to why I post? I thrive on the drama, if you hadn't gathered this from my other posts. The more you feed me, the happier and more likely to reply I will be :o In the end it is a waste of time, but it helps pass the time and provides me with entertainment ^^

    stfu and go and pk them if you have issue with the way they run the server. Yes, they can run it how they want at the moment as they are the strongest, got a problem? Go and train to kill them for once instead of spamming up these forums with completely irrelevent drivel (looking at YOU here labrat, i mean jesus, if you spent half as much time training as you do chatting shit you'd have reached the cap by now)

     

    To me this system seems much better, I'd rather have community (more or less) appointed "mods" (for lack of a better word, or maybe "sheriffs"? ^^) than some of the people who get power on and run the main server.

     

    Hmm, I might get myself a PK server account now, if I can be bothered :)

    I can't be bothered to reread this lot but the pro PK server bunch are contradicting themselves constantly.

     

    To summarise:

    Who came up with the 4 names?

    "I did"

    "not me I don't even want to be on the list"

    "the community did"

    "maybe a poll should have been held - but we would probably have decided on these four anyway"

    "wtf has it got to do with you - you don't even play"

     

    You kinda completely missed the point of my post - there are no safeguards there to stop the bunch of tin badge sheriffs from singling out a player and deciding that they are inappropriate material for the PK server.

     

    What do you think the reaction would be if I logged in - a warm welcome with open arms or quiet commandments from on high to PK me on sight?

     

    I know which one I would bet on. Anyone got a map of the Underworld?

    I think you missed my point as well, why waste so much time here dicussing something that is ultimately irelevent? In the end people on the PK server will decide how, when and why they do things, no amount of chat here will change that.

    Haha, never really thought of this, but it is unfair.

     

    New player comes along, likes exploring. In nice safe votd, next thing in a pk map with guardbot no warning given before entering... dead.

     

    I imagine the usual "carefull when exploring, don't carry stuff you can't afford to lose" argument will be posted, but it's still abit lame for new players ^^

    Didn't bother to read 8 pages of what I assume will be repititions of what had been said many times before.

     

    It is a PK map, you get a warning. You should go in expecting to die, whether you are pvping or properly pking, it doesn't matter. Attacking someone on a map where they can be attacked is not an outlaw act. Only when you deliberately mislead them onto the map is it one, such as asking someone to pvp and then pulling out a sword.

     

    In the days when PK was good, fun and constantly populated there were very few threads about this kind of thing, if i remember correctly. Everyone knew that they would get attacked in a PK map. The only way to pvp safely was to be a friend of CO, who had the only guildmap and guardbot widely known at that time, or to find a place where very few people passed through. Other than that, if you got attacked, you accepted it and tried to get them back. You didn't waste your time whining on the forums about someone who attacked you in a PK map.

     

    Outlaws forums should be for people who intentionally mislead others into pk and then attack them, or for other things such as scamming etc.
