    Was great indeed, but with my p/c i had a hard time, died 2 times (bye bye rosto's) and klicked telering instead of sr (pretty n00bies huh ) Anyway hope to join again in the future when i restocked on some rost's

    Hi, got a little problem with tanglebones, this must apply to all bots that uses the BlackThorne botcode. if a player uses a name that belonged to another char before and want to trade he gets an oops bot thread exited, and logges of. eg. Char get sold and a rename, to Player. A new player calls his toon Char but cant trade anymore cos the bot will disappear on the tradewindow. I know some ppl have a fix but somehow they don't want to provide it (keceus does have the fix but after a new botowner has asked for it he still got no responce) Does anybody know what to look for and how to avoid that trigger? thanks ps. if you want to check the code i will upload a fresh copy.

    If, and a big IF, i will be able to go in it will be for fun ofcourse, but like i hear here the EMU is the biggist enemy it migth be usefull/tactfull to place them, so you might have a bigger chance to finish it. Afterall we all will go in to try and finish it and not just as a costly gc drain

    No, maybe be a little less hard for new players who make the mistake (who actualy reads the rules when tehy start ? ) It shouldn't be allowed. dunno what influence it will have but i dont think it will do any good.
  11. Best way to train magic?

    No offense.. But there is no longer 100% restoration based on just the ability to cast it at level etc. Due to the need of reasoning, will, your magic level, etc many things now play a role in restoration and magic. But for the most part. Everything else I pretty much agree with.. I use to do a lot of bones to gold. But that was long long ago lol.. the 100% chance on restoration is meant as No Fail restoration and that still is when you reach lvl 49
  12. Test server issues

    Been walking around some coldmaps and no issues afaik, but i notice some vast drop in my fps. Compas at a different angle makes it "playable" but very often its even less than 5fps. I even copied el.ine from my main dir to check if i have could see any differnces but no luck tested: invis pots, thrue sight, eva, accu pots mana/life drain tptr and tptpr fighting several monsters, used rings and baniers to chance maps.

    Oh wait, dam i didn't play for 5yr, i am only a/d 88/95, i cant barefist fluff nor cyclops, and i am not aloud to form an opinion on how others have stated they'r opinions here?? Now plz tell me why do you think that ppl who cant train/kill these strong creatures cant have they'r own opinion? someday i also am at your lvl's so in fact it would benefit me but i am not convinced it would be good for the game. I think there should be things chanced indeed, but not make it easier, make the creatures that are too easy now( easy as in give ridiculous high xp/hr) harder so the xp they give fit more to the lvl that creature should be. And yes that would fuckup my own training cos it will be long then before i could also get the ridiculous amounds of xp/hr. Get over it, the game is designed the way you have to do more to lvl than at the lower lvl's. Why should high lvl's get they'r oa's as easy as the newbie? for whom the lvl's are hard enough already.

    So in fact its not the chims that are a problem. the fluff and feros seem to give way too much xp/hr the fluff and feros are trainable too soon (with too low lvl's) therefor there aint enough spawns for ppl to train (ridiculous bare fisting) on them and too high lvl's stay on them too long. To force ppl to hand over a spawn maybe we should have a chance there will spawn a uber strong fluff(feros) 1/100 respawns. then ppl who bare fist them in aug armour will be forced to act quick or else get killed and free a spawn. next person who comes in will be forced to use decent armour and weapon to kill the mutant and start training (ridiculous bare fisting them again) till they meet the mutant again. i think the game would be more logical if you cant fight feros when you are above cyclops lvl and fluff when you can do tigers in your sleep. the way i look at the game, there are 2 streaming's of monsters, the humanoids, gob's, ogre etc till yeti, and the animal alikes, from brown rabbit till Ac. I think that the strong animal likes shouldn't be there for training, they are for hunting. the humanoids should be for training. And then we might need something between cyclops and feros or just adjust the cyclops and the armed orc to fill the gab between them and feros., oh and make a bigger different between troll and ogre too. hardly anybody train on troll, most start real training at ogre's at once.

    OK, so if i read all the essays well it is in short: fight fluff at 70's, till 90's then max get right p/c and kick feros. After that its nothing unless you are fine with less a-d/hr.? i think radu shouldn't make chims weaker than, but fluff and feros tougher so you will need great sword to start fighting them, and make the gap between feros and chims smaller. Ad a cyclops little brother or an ogre's wife to fill the gap between ogre/clops/armed orc and every fighter wouldn't have to stay on one creature for ages too. It really is ridiculous that every a/d trainer belittles the fighter who uses a sword or any kind of weapon. If you talk to any new player they are all proud when they can kill a creature that is just that bit stronger than the one before, they don't know how to a/d lvl yet but they have way more fun playing than those who think they should be able to stay at a spawn hitting a creature for 1hp/hit and dodge all attacks. It has nothing to do with any kind of role play if some1 has 4 DC' s on him and heal the creatures because they die too soon.

    In the past, Radu himself has questioned why people dont use f/m.chims more for training. It is not a creature designed to be only killable by groups. They are killable now by a single person np, the only difference my change will make, at all, is that a person with 48/48 p/c and enough a/d/r/i will be able to do it barefist instead of with a weapon. i know radu did, but for some reason most of ad trainers think the weapons in the game are only for bragging around. I would say if you cant hit a creature for more than 0 HP then use a sword to hit it, myself cant hit a clops with a bone. does that make it un trainable? Hell no i just use a sword and i can do some damage, do i make uber xp? No sir but the oa i make is way more than i could ever reach doing other things. To me this all sounds like some want to get tons of xp w/o spending any gc/effort. Sorry to say, i have big respect for you, but somehow i think fighters want an advantage no other can get. Its a ROLE PLAYING GAME, i hope some of you will understand that someday and act like it, roleplay an uber strong creature, and addapt to its stats by using the right weapon, armour or even fight it with a group. Maybe Radu should make a chance more towards the hitting of a creature, the harder you hit the more xp/hit. I dont know but as i said to me it sound rediculous if even a strong fighter will barefist a creature like the cimaran wolfs, it just doesn't fit in my view of roleplaying

    Voted no on both, tried to form an opinion by reading between the flames, but i really cant see why a highlvl monster, more or less desined to fight in groups should be able to fight barehanded. Imho any creature higher than feros should require the use of wheapons, and the stronger it is the better wheapon should be used. Why are so many ppl addicted to uber high xp/hr? Sure the game has chanced ppl who play for many years had sertain advantages then but they did adopt the chances and are able to still make good xp as most of them said.

    This invasion was what invasions should be like I was on C2 when it started and was on the way to Ida as i heart of hordes of yeti, chims etc... :Bit too strong for me and sertainly on a multi combat map. So i bad feeling crawld up, OMG not a again a weak in WS and way too strong in IDA.. Still i went to WSC entering a horde of armed gobs, fighting my way through, watching channel 6 for info. So many gobs were trying to hold me back but i still managed to check some bags and finally found an Invasion Token, a fem gob was having it in her backpack. Then there it was, the passage between C1&C2 is invaded by mid lvl monsters, Mortos was finally listening to the avarage fighter who didn't want to whipe clean White Stone so the less strong fighters could start learning to defend there beloved lands. I rushed to the nearest storage, thank you Scotty for the fast beam, got me a PA ring and jumped in the middle of a raging horde of Trolls. Then it all went mad, (armed) Orc's, Ogre, Troll supported by animal on the ground and from the air, as soon as you thought you could take a breath you were attacked by the next. Then Mortos got the wierd idea, He tried to take over scotty's buisiness . We had a good laugh some who it happended to where so confused, anyway taking advantage of that free trip, restock, dont forget MI essy's and back to make sure the hordes couldn't reach Seridia. A Giant must had made his way out of Ida and was wandering towards Seridia, But there was Dman blocking his was, protecting the weak We thought, ok this must have been it, we have stand the hordes, Mortos must have been defeded. Wrong, he has an evil mind, he send the the worst of the worst , atleast for those that have not too much expierence in invasions, White Tigers, Grizzly Bears, smelly Trolls, stinking Ogre, Armed Orc and expierenced Feros where fighting they'r way towards Serida. A few of us died, some had to flee, but we did the job, PA was safe again. Mortos defeded, the lands where safe again. for the fighters that again choose the right place to defend :icon13: to the mods who arranged this and specialy made it still happen after the spamzor problems we had before. Comments: The way the monster mixture was in PA was great, fightable creatures mixed with a few strong ones. that imho are invasion like they should be. WS missed that bid, there could have been some ogre, or even a cyclops between the hordes of goblins, Or a (white) tiger between the racoons No bears on easy parts of invasions, the new army of defenders normaly cant use MI yet or atleast have to learn they could need it.

    not wanting to whipe out all the low lvl monsters, for that part now avarage players could participate w/o getting owned all the time , I have been running around. Word in channel was MM is fun, nice mix of strong creatures, and all i could do was avoid walking into MM. such a mixture would be cool on a single map but knowing you will get jumped by 8 fluff is not to worry too much about, but also the really big chance a yeti/giant/or chicken would intefere... sorry i wanna risk my rosto's but not at a sertain death. Red dragon in DP, nice to look at and run away, DP is a single map all you can do is summon a ton of critters and harm the beast to death if there isn't a dragon fighter nearby. still i loved to see so many ppl who stay in storages during invasions coming out and got to arms to kill stuff they for once could handle. for the higher lvl players to avoid those places and let the less strong players do theyr jobs. suggestion, spread out the strong monsters on multi combat maps, drop some clops/fluff/feros/desert chims on single maps too, away from low lvl creatures. and a dragon isn't there a closed area wich is multi ? DP was nice but you just cant get close enough to harm it if it is not busy with defending itself Still looking forward to wast my rosto's on next part

    This would be nice, but then I think no one would ever die. you would have no fail dis/tele i was only suggesting it for the arena's, which are imho for PK training, could be ofcourse for some arena's, like the lvl capped only. i think it would make more ppl to try pk, atm its the ts'd ppl who rule the arena's and try to catch every newbie's dis just to kill and brag about it.

    To protect ppl from getting gangbanged, maybe the use of a disring shouldn't effect your opponent but make you safe from attackers for like 5 seconds. that way all these so called pr0 pk'ers can't catch a dis to kill the n00b. thatway even dpa would attract more ppl to learn to fight there. or maybe it should act like that in pk arena's only ?
