We are mostly american/canadian.. but have australian peeps as well. We try to have fun and promote teamwork and helpfullness. . we dont like total noobs.. though we do take them on every once in a while to 'train them up'. but i dont think you need 'training up'

BT, I had't seen nor heard of you in a long time, and it saddens me to finally hear from you under these sad times. I'm not good at expressing myself by talking, so I wrote a poem for you and Katryel.
Heartbeats like a thundering storm,
just the thought of you to keep me warm.
Ever since you;ve been gone i've been lonely and down,
The only emotion on my face has been a frown.
In this broken world, the only thing that was right,
was having you by my side every day and night.
When we were together, I never thought i'd be left,
with this lonely heart, empty and bereft.
I wrote this poem a few nights past when I couldn't sleep. This is the best use of it that is possible. Again, my deepest condolences.

This is the game that has diverted my attention from Eternal Lands. Anyone else play it? I'm on the American version, venus server, go by the name of Karendar. I'm a lvl 43 Force Archer, for those that have played Everquest or any mmorpg really it's a mix of ranger/archer and cleric. For a free game, the graphics are stunning. Also has a nice soundtrack. (Unless I am mistaken, they have their own band that produces the music). Any problems of being kos'ed are easily solved as you can pk the perpetrator (for a price). I'll include some screenshot's later.

Our scientist's have noticed a solar activity increase, so the UV rays and the solar wind are going to cause damage to all living beings (Isla Prima not affected).Monsters (raccons, ferans, such) would be classified as living beings, no? They don't take damage.

I debated for awhile whether or not to actually dignify this with a response. Whether or not the topic is the name or the description, it is still words, no? You cannot tell someone not to use words to respond when you are arguing the point of words in something. The problem with your logic, is that most people assume if it does not say something (i.e it does not say mines will not work, or something that explodes from 1 foot away will not hurt you) then there is a possibility, and to ask or be more cautious. They do not go: "Gee, peace day, I'm sure this thing right here that explodes and hurts people will not work at all cause I don't want it to." So your saying because it's a game, you can have no common sense? Wtf? How can you actively attack another player with mines, if they are not close enough to be hit by the mine?You are specifically using word games and semantics to avoid the actual topic of this thread. This thread is not, as I have repeatedly stated, about people getting hurt by mines they walk on to when no one else is around. I didn't tell you not to use words. I told you not to use games to avoid the issue. The issue is active PK on Peace Day when the description clearly and specifically states that you cannot be attacked by other players. The description doesn't say that other players cannot cast spells on you, cannot attack you with melee weapons, and cannot use arrows to attack you, let alone say that mines also cannot be used. The description states that players cannot attack you period. There are not codices or long winded descriptions of how other players cannot attack you. It just says that they can't. That is the reason this thread was started and you have steadfastly refused to answer to that specific point.You obviously don't know how players can use mines to attack other players. The strategy is to teleport next to someone or walk up to them invisible or even visible if they don't know what can happen to them. When you get next to another player you intentionally drop and set off your own mines. This causes you to suffer ground zero damage but you are already prepared for it and so you heal as you drop and set off your mines. The other player not expecting to be attacked gets nuked by the blast damage. That is how you PK someone on Peace Day. That is what this topic is about.

I obviously do know how to attack players with mines, as I obviously have stated, twice now, and you obviously have failed to read both posts, or failed the comprehend what was said in the aforementioned posts.
How can you actively attack another player with mines, if they are not close enough to be hit by the mine?Now read this again, and tell me, how, if the player is not near you, you can attack him with a mine? Simply said, you cant, he will not be hit by the blast radius and you damage youtself.
This topic, as I said in another post, is about changing peace day so that it does not work in one map, because a few people don't like it. It has absolutely nothing to do with PK'ing on Peace Day. Obviously you don't know what the topic of this thread is about.

PS. This thread was not started about or by Moebird. This thread was started because players can actively PK other players on Peace Day which is something the description of the day says cannot happen. What difference does it make to the topic if Moebird is any less wrong or right than the players who are actively PKing other players during Peace Day? The description of Peace Day does not mention bots or ants anywhere in it. The whole matter as to whether people should be able to level their ants on Peace Day or not belongs in another thread.Actually, this thread was started to suggest leaving one map open from peace day because the thread starter did not like peace day.

You, sir, are trying to use semantics to prove yourself right, and then tell me to stop using semantics myself. Now that is truly playing word games. The topic is about an incorrect fact in the description of a special day and not the name of it. The topic is about incorrect information and has nothing to do with word play at all. The problem with your logic is that most people trust what the read in the information provided to them by the game developer. "Common sense" in a game with satellites and spells. Hello??? The point is not even about standing next to a mine and getting hurt either. The topic is that players can approach another player and then actively attack them with mines. I believe it is accurate...Description: No fighting today, you can't attack players, animals or monsters, and the animals or monsters won't attack you either.It makes no mention of inanimate objects.
You seem to be missing the point that players can actively set off their own mines and heal themselves while killing people with the blast damage from the mines. Yes players can actively attack with mines exactly as Moebird's post described. Just because the players take damage from their own mines and have to heal does not mean that the damage they are intentionally doing to others with their mines is not 'actively' attacking them. Spells don't work to hurt other players on Peace Day because that would be an active attack, right? So why isn't setting off your own mines to kill people not actively attacking them? It is just like using a spell except you have to heal some damage to yourself because of 'casting' it.

It doesn't. If it did then you could freely use mushrooms for no cooldown food since you wouldn't be able to poison yourself either. The point is that you are trying to use semantics to support a loophole that does in fact allow people to violate the description of peace day. Just because you have to attack yourself to kill someone else does not mean you are not attacking someone else. If it did then you wouldn't be killing them would you? Please stop playing word games so we can take care of this issue.

After reading it all, i can only come to one conclusion; the title of the day isnt correct.Perhaps maybe it's just your perception of the name that is incorrect, not the name itself.

Well, I can log in on server 2000, and chat, but when I click mouse to move, or scroll in, it crashes.

Well, since a week or so ago, EL was working fine, then crashed suddenly. Now every time I try to log in, my screen freezes, and EL will crash and a blue screen pops up saying there was an ati2dvag error. The weird thing is, I can log in on the pk server just fine, but whenever I try to log in on the main server, it doesn't work. Any ideas?
Edit-- I just tried, I also can log in on test but still not main.
