  1. very old players

I am old enough to remember paying 3k for an EFE. Does that count?
  2. To: PKG From : olenthered

Yes, we all know what s/he meant, but there are posts with much worse grammar in this thread that you failed to pick up on. It's not that you Americans even speak 'proper' English anyway! As for the current matter, I don't believe two wrongs can ever make a right. I think it was Confucius that said that both parties in a dispute are guilty, but one is more guilty than the other...
  3. Static

I would like to see how you hold up against 8 opponents
  4. Static

Maybe. About as stupid as bagjumping in invance.
  5. Mixing Haven

Just wondered what ings are required for these?
  6. Static

Are you insane? No, she/he is not insane, but merely expressing an opinion, and IMHO, your retort was rather impolite. In any event, I believe that there are merits as well as downsides to making invances PK. I don't see how it is different than a PK map being invaded during a regular invasion. As I mentioned in the other Static thread, PK invances would mean that players will have to respect each other and cooperate with each other, which cannot possibly be a bad thing. I also think fears of indiscriminate killing of players is exaggerated, since such behavior will jeopardize the chances of winning. If a certain minimum number of players must remain in order to win, that should help to avoid this situation. The potential for abuse may be further reduced if invance PVP encounters are not be eligible for EXP or pki. Unfortunately however, the high price of rostos means that the idea will be rather unpopular.
  7. The Sleepy Guild

Nice siggy Would have joined the guild but my mommy says I have to be in bed by 8 o' clock
  8. Static

Notice me plx!I'm such a pr0 bad guy! If only invances were PK... That way you you need proper teamwork, which I suppose is one of the main points of it. You would also be able to eliminate undesirables.
  9. Static

Wow! same guy again! I wonder how he manages to sniff out rosto-less people.
  10. Static

Nice of you to try saving his db, but since you knew he was waiting to jump, you could have tried picking up the items if you had the EMU and inv space. After all, tit greaves/shield plus FR cape don't exacly take much EMU. Otherwise, I don't see the point of you taking the time to mention that you had a rosto on you.
  11. scammer kilo55

I don't think he died. He said he accidentally added his MMC along with the returned stuff, probably while trading the items back to kilo55.
  12. Bad Company [BC] is now recruiting

Why call your guild Bad Company if you don't want bad guys?
  13. cyclops help please

I preferred armed orcs->lions->fluffly, avoiding clops completely. Lions have similar a/d and crit far less than cycs. No drops, but cyc drops are rubbish anyway. The meat + bones are useful if you plan to summon, like I did.
  14. Rostogols and fresh Players

It will not be fair if it hurts more at certain levels. Besides, how will you calculate an appropriate XP loss? As you know, half a level at 20 a/d is a far cry from the same at 100 a/d. OTOH, you cannot impose a flat penalty as this would be ridiculous. IMHO, many people would rather lose gc than XP if they had a choice.
  15. Rostogols and fresh Players

While I would like this for purely selfish reasons, sadly I don't think it will work.It would mean that I can train freely above my level and mix with mushrooms without fear of death. It will also seriously damage radu's income. I suspect that more rostos are lost in invances/instances than elsewhere in the game. Besides, most PK is already in rosto-free (no-drop) areas anyway.
  16. Selling Everything

Sorry, but I decided to take the Potion of Feasting off as I needed it for use. The SR's are still yours though Aww... Ok, do let me know what you want for the SRs. I had trouble finding you yesterday probably due to different timezones. (I'm from the UK)
  17. ^v^ "Vikings" are back in action!

Would be great to see the ^v^ tag again. Welcome back and gl with the guild.
  18. Selling Everything

Hello, I am interested in 346 Potion of Feasting 574 Potion Of Spirit Restoration I can offer 12k
  19. God Please save PK - Summoning Only

First, I would like to say that I am a newbie summoner; well, just a newbie, full stop! However, I have one or two thoughts on these issues. I agree that one should be able to summon in PK without stones. The fact that you currently cannot devalues the skill IMHO. I also don't like the fact that (unskilled) people can summon zoos, but it's their choice and the opponent(s) also have the opportunity to do the same. However, if we decide that one cannot - or should not be able to - summon more than x creatures at a time, that will involve changing game mechanics to count summons. There is also the negative effect that charm will lose value, since it affects the chance of multiple summons. Also, what about regular summons? Is it realistic to say that I cannot summon (not with stones) more than a certain number of creatures at a time? Should I have to wait until some of my summons die - since you cannot attack your own summons - before I can summon more? Having said that, I believe that the 'zoo summoning' thing should be the forte of the summoner. After all, that's what they do. An animal nexus requirement equivalent to regular summoning may reduce stone sales. However, one may view stones as 'packaged' summons, which will allow the summoner to carry more of them than the actual summoning ingredients. The stones also have the benefit that you don't need to remember the formula for a creature while you're keeping an eye on your health. This should mean that fighters may be encouraged to invest in levelling summoning. It should also mean that more summoners take up PK more actively. However, as a balance for this convenience, there could be a small mana cost each time a stone is used. The only 'issue' I see here is that ultimately, some of the top fighters will also be top summoners, and then we have the zoo issue again! There is also the matter of non-summoners who simply use stones to distract mobs (in invasions, for example) while they make their escape. I have avoided one or two rosto losses thus. This may be addressed by making a non-nexus critter (rat? beaver?) stonable.
  20. Storage Sale

Great. I should be in-game in about 6 hours.
  21. Storage Sale

    * 1 radioactive rapier. * 38 Ring of Glacmor How about 155k for these?
  22. Invances

I'm not suggesting that they have a 'right' to win. I'm saying that failure is practically guaranteed without preparation, as will happen with random invances. Hey, don't shoot me. I'm on your side! My point was that admins should not be required to inconvenience themselves in order to run an instance for any group, regardless of how 'unorthodox' their sleeping pattern is.
  23. Invances

I appreciate the sentiment, but it is sadly not enough. Making them random will not work because there have to be enough people that are ready to go in otherwise they will fail. Miserably. This requires preparation. OTOH, making them player-initiated changes nothing, as that is what happens now. The problem is that they are initiated by the same players, hence, same times, same time-zone. I don't think it is 'fair' to hope the admins will wake up at silly hours to run them for us, and then complain that they are at the 'wrong time' for us! I'm sorry, but the world is not flat, so, what might be helpful could be to have people that are willing and competent - and whatever other qualifications that seem to be required - to run the invances on the other side(s) of the planet.
