I can't tell you how much time I spent "unhiding" harvestable items on almost every map that has them. They're difficult to find, and easily placed that way in the map editor by those who originally created the maps (and didn't have thoughts of pear hunts). They still exist to this day. Fortunately they are few and far between. Posting this one for pear hunters. There are, in fact, 15 amber pieces in the north part of Saret's Cave in Trassian as EL-DB says there are. EL-DB's info is directly from the map files. However, only 5 are visible. The other 10 are underneath the ground tiles. So everyone pear hunting there knows, this is how they are located without the ground tiles showing, and northern rock pieces removed, in the map editor.

Burn started following Copyright, Emeralds in Hurq, EL-DB Overhaul - A look at What's New (2.0 is Live!) and and 5 others

Okay, I hope I got everything. https://EL-DB.com 2.0 is up and living.

EL-DB's 2.0 overhaul is happening later today. This means EL-DB will be down for an hour or two. We're live now! The site will still be similar, but has a lot changed, much more than any previous update. Here's what to expect, with several screenshots to see previews. Content: - Harvestable coordinates are now listed in order based on their closeness to the nearest storage. All harvs, on every map. (Click to see screenshot) -> Clicking a harvestable's coordinates will give you an estimated total to-and-from walk time to that harv from its nearest storage, and the path used to determine that time. (Click to see screenshots) -> On a harv item's page, you'll see the time for the closest to sto item on every map listed that you can harvest it, with the (up to) 3 fastest times marked as such. (Click to see a screenshot) - An Instances Page was added - Break Rate Chance on worn items now has a bar giving a visual idea of its break rate compared to other items (Click to see examples) - Combat Level for all creature ignore levels has been updated to use CL = Att + Def + Phy + Coord - Are You Safe? - (Click to see a screenshot) A new page to calculate your CL based on the above calculation, and will show exactly which creatures will or will not attack you. You can enter your stats manually, or import them (even private stats, but only if you've confirmed your account - only you can see them). The 2.0 Website Cleanup for improved viewing and easier access to information: - Massively Improved Secret/Guild Tracking! When entering a secret/guild's location: -> You can now open a map to click on it where the secret is located, instead of entering coordinates by hand. (You can still enter them by hand as well.) (Click to see how it works (old image but you get the idea)) -> Once the coordinates appear via the map, the "Select a map object" dropdown list will now shrink to only show map objects within about 30 tiles of the selected coordinates! -> If you enter the coordinates by hand, a "Refresh" button will turn on that you can click to shrink the map object dropdown list. - Same-page navigation! Most pages now have a same-page navigation bar to allow you quick access to different info showing on that page. This bar will stay at the top of the page for easy access. (Ex: A map page will have such a bar with links to harvs, creatures, NPCs, etc.) -> In some cases this is only necessary for mobile site viewing so it will only appear on mobile. - The "Find a Page" search gives results where you can now use your keyboard to press Enter if you want the first result, or select a different one and Enter using up/down arrow keys. - The Quest tracker now has a better larger area to input where you left off on a quest, and is expandable as needed. - Reduced page lengths - Where possible. This includes placing really long coordinate lists (such as the 1,000+ wood branches in White Stone) into their own scrollable box so they don't cause the page length to expand. - You can log in from the account button in the top menu as a dropdown, which keeps you on the page you were looking at. - A lot of improvements to make the site friendly to mobile viewing. (The only issue on mobile now is really large comparison tables which simply can't show well on mobile, but did my best.) There's a lot of minor tweaks and changes throughout the site as well.

Track your Secrets, and your Quests... EL-DB.com is Live

In a massive undertaking of scriptwriting and pathfinding and other fun stuffs... Harvestable item coordinates are now more useful, as they're listed in order based on closeness to the nearest storage without using magic** or rings. *Newbie Storage not included. Dung is pathed only to hazmat storages (duh!). **Tele-to-Range is included, but only in a few places where it's the only way to reach a harvest item, such as titanium ore in the EVTR mine. Every set of coordinates can be clicked to get walk times and full paths. A path with no secrets is provided where possible. A path with secrets*** is provided when it's shorter than the no-secrets path (or there is no no-secret path). ***Of course, the path parts that are secret only show if you've entered the secret. No secret freebies. ;-) Coming very soon now, just doing some finishing touches to make it as awesome as possible. -

You can see the new secret input that makes it so much simpler to do so in this video. At the end you can also see the new same-map navigation that will make it easier to access information on long pages, how some page lengths have been reduced, and an excellent improvement to the "Find a Page" search bar. -

Work on EL-DB 2.0 is now in progress. A lot of upgrades and improvements to the site are forthcoming. A huge one will be an improved method to track your secrets! It will be a lot easier to enter them, as you will be able to click on a map image where the secret is located instead of figuring out the coordinates yourself. As well, once you enter the coordinates, the list of map objects to select from for that secret will be reduced to items that are near those coordinates, not the entire list of all map objects. https://el-db.com/tempstuff/work-in-progress--new-secret-input-system.jpg <- Click to see the full-size image. ALSO, if you're in an internal area to enter a secret, it'll zoom in to show you just that internal area. Reduced item list! Here we see coordinates entered on the tiny abandoned isle on the south end of the Anitora map. It only has 3 items, so only those 3 items are shown after selecting coordinates to choose from, as opposed to the 300+ item list before! (Had to take a picture of my screen to get this cuz the dropdown option list kept closing, heh.) -
According to Aislinn (here) it's $10 unlock fee.

My Merry Winter Solstice gift... after an incredible amount of testing: Combat Level = ATTACK + DEFENSE + PHYSIQUE + COORDINATION Overthinking it led to the complex attempts at CL calculating that never quite worked. The confusion was that Physique and Coordination affected all of the cross attributes used in the previous attempts at a CL calculation. People having different levels of other attributes that affected those same cross attributes just added to the confusion. A lot of testing came to the above simple calculation being what was actually happening. Full details of the entire testing process and how I came to this calculation, eliminating the use of cross-attributes, are in this PDF. You know, should you want to try and disprove the result, you can see where I went wrong. ;-) https://el-db.com/tempstuff/DeterminingCL.pdf Combat Level to be ignored for each creature using the above calculation: Male Goblin - 51 Small Gargoyle - 61 Skeleton - 66 Female Goblin - 51 Medium Gargoyle - 61 Tall Gargoyle - 61 Armed Skeleton - 66 Armed Male Goblin - 51 Hobgoblin - 171 Troll - 101 Male Ogre - 181 Cyclops - 251 Mountain Chimeran - 281 Frost Troll - 271 Yeti - 271 Legionnaire Orc - 271 Cockatrice - 271 Legionnaire Troll - 271 Giant - 311 Breaker - 271

That's an incredible amount of markup that would have to be done for every individual seat in every tavern. The server doesn't know what a seat is, so a def file markup entry would have to be done for the specific coordinates of every individual seat, in the many various taverns.

Right-click the link and "Save Link As..." option. Alternately, when the code has loaded, select "Save Page As.." from your browser File menu. It's a shell script, not a zip. You download it and run the script.

A glitch caused the list to not track player stats the past 4 or so days, nor update the top player lists. It has been fixed, but it will not reflect any levels gotten in those days for up to 24 hours after the script sees you online as of this message posting time.

Pro-tip: If you're doing smaller locations, you can make sure you're not asking for too many creatures by going to that location's page on https://el-db.com . On each room/cave/outdoor map/whatever, you'll see something like "Walkable Tiles: 138" in the Basics section for that location. 138 would be an example for a small room, 252,038 would be Idaloran main. Make sure if using smaller areas that your total critter count (+room for players) doesn't go above maybe 90% of the Walkable tile count.

After just over a week, the standing remains the same as last post: Most guild entrances tracked by a single player so far: 32 (of 37) ... so close ... Guild entrances no one has tracked yet: 4 Guilds no one has tracked at all yet: 2 * Some guilds have multiple entrances, thus the difference between the two numbers above. People who thought they knew 'em all are discovering they didn't! Do you know one of the ones not tracked by anyone yet? How do you compare? Have some changed that you're unaware of? Where's the pro secret hunters? ;-) Gotta track 'em all! https://el-db.com
