It would be neat if things had a quality percentage. What I mean is NPC bought items would have 100% while player made items have something between 100-200%. Arrows for example would do 100% damage if they come from an npc. If a player made the arrows at 175%. they would inflict 75% more damage than NPC crap.

 

I think this would make player made items more attractive.

Or make it level based. The higher eng lvl (or what skill is used to make arrows? :) ) the higher damage they cause. But this could secondly be a problem, since everyone buys arrows from highest lvl engineed there is in game... But something like this could be good idea IMO :hug:

after reading the topic I though you were suggesting a funtion which would show your character's age :) (which would be merely for fun)

 

on-topic: I second Miiks. in that case, there should be also higher potion effects made by higher leveled potioners, tho there are a few skills where it would not be possible.
