Astrology stones testing

The test server now has the astrology stones, 2 kinds of them, one kind that reads the current modifier, and one that predicts one modifier for the next hour, in 20 minute increments.

All those stones need to be tested.

It is up to you to find the NPC that sells them, whoever finds it first and posts here the location will win a small prize on the main server.

 

There is also a new perk, Skeptic, which causes the astrology not to affect you. You are welcome to test this perk, but do so only after you test the stones, because the stones will not work with that perk.

Can I see the stats with the new perk taken? Because I can see if I'm taking a risk or am I am worth getting it...because not getting rid of the perk is pretty crazy.

[00:17:54] Harvest events increase, the higher, the more events:

20 Minutes: 27

40 Minutes: 23

60 Minutes: 19

 

[00:19:18] Items Degrade, the higher, the lower the chance for items to degrade:

20 Minutes: -190

40 Minutes: -200

60 Minutes: -210

 

[00:39:22] Harvest Events Increase: 27 (the higher, the more events)

Degrade: -190 (the higher, the less chance to break)

 

 

 

[00:17:16] Magic bonus, the higher, the better, negative is penalty:

20 Minutes: -5

40 Minutes: -5

60 Minutes: -5

 

[00:46:49] The higher, the better, negative is penalty:

Acc: -1, Magic: -5

 

Seems to be working!! :dry:

I havn't checked the rest though, sorta messed up being new to this :)

 

#edit; again sorry, I noticed the Degrade Explanation seems a little mixed up, but could just be me, it's 1am here. (after some sleep, I understand the statement, sorry to bother you :))

Never mind - pilot error. The stones appear to be giving the "Actual" value (as listed by the #da command). It might be nice to have the #da command re-activated on the test server so we can verify the stone's values with the #da values.

Hi. I was testing Urania's features. I'm able to buy all the stones, but I'm only able to sell the indicator stones. It looks like Urania won't buy back any of the predictor stones and I was wondering if that was the intent of the programming.

Indicator Stones:

 

[06:49:14] The higher, the better, negative is penalty:

[06:50:15] The higher, the better, negative is penalty:

[06:50:22] Harvest Events Increase: -90 (the higher, the more events)

Degrade: -520 (the higher, the less chance to break)

[06:50:41] Make rare: 592 (the lower, the better; positive is penalty)

Failure: 5 (the lower, the better)

 

To me, it appears there are 2 styles of writing with the above results. Perhaps for a more consistent look, the first three stones could be changed? e.g. Att: -2, Def: -2 (The higher, the better, negative is penalty)

 

 

 

Predictor Stones

For these stones, I would use a colon ( : ) after the name (e.g. Failure: the lower, the better, positive is penalty). I also noticed that for the last 2 stones, the first lines did not end with a colon like all the others. Also, on the "Make rare" predictor stone, there's a semi-colon after "better" rather than a comma.

I'm not sure, but I think this is because we will be able to make some of those stones ourselves in the future, so probably this will be the indicator stones.
