purplehaze Report post Posted February 9, 2013 I just bought the Macbook Pro. My OS is OS X 10.8.2. It has been about 10 years since I've owned a Mac and I'm having trouble finding my EL folder and it's contents. When I log onto the game, this is where it says my files are: Your personal settings and logs will be saved in /Users/purplehaze/Library/Application Support/Eternal Lands/main/ This doesn't exist! Mine is: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Eternal Lands But the EL folder is empty... Did I do something wrong when I downloaded or unzipped the game? Thank you for any help, PurpleHaze
Sir_Odie Report post Posted February 9, 2013 The 'Eternal Lands' structure in your personal 'Library/Application Support' should be created at the first start of the client, no matter where you download/unzip the client to, so I doubt that you did anything wrong there. Maybe the client has problems with 10.8 (unfortunately I can't test that). You could try to manually create '/Users/purplehaze/Library/Application Support/Eternal Lands/main/', so the client finds the expected structure to save it's files... Sulla Report post Posted February 9, 2013 In Mac OS 10.7 and above the users Library folder is hidden. But it is easy to access! In the Finder go to the GO menu select "Go to Folder ... " type in "~/library" without the quotes obviously BOOM, in your Library folder EL settings are in "Application Support" then "Eternal Lands" Hit me up in game for help
purplehaze Report post Posted February 9, 2013 Oh, wow! Sulla, thank you for the advice. I found my logs and the "main" folder I was looking for and, yes, I was running into issues with the "Library" being invisible for some reason. Thank you kindly
Sulla Report post Posted February 9, 2013 Anytime. It's just Apple making it harder for folks who don't know what they are doing with the system to muck things up. I don't personally agree with it but I see what they are going for. Happy to help.
