Cant connect to server/create account on forum

Im on university network, I asked for unlocking port 2000, everything should be fine, but I stil cant connect. Launcher is stuck on "Connecting to server" for long time, and then following text pops out"

<0:00>: Disconnected from the server!

Press alt-x to close the game.

 

I also cant create account on forum: "You are not permitted to register a user account with this community."

 

Port isn't locked, programs on my PC are not blocking any part of the game/website. I have no idea whats wrong. Could you help me?

As far as game access is concerned:

You could try to connect to the test server (which uses port 2001).

If that works, port 2000 might still be blocked on your side.

 

You don't seem to be hitting a blocked IP range for the game (that gives a red message in the client,

not the 'disconnected' message, and should allow you to access the login screen).

 

If you can't access the test server either, better post here again with the information (having screen

shots and a trace route handy never hurts either, but don't post them until asked to do so).

 

For the forum account, you will have to wait for Aislinn, as she handles that stuff.

 

For both cases, it might help to know where you are from, and what OS (including version) you are using.

I a newbie here... Could you tell me where can I find test server launcher or something? (Anyway, I asked administrator if he unlocked the port for sure, and I checked it by few websites made for checking ports)

I can connect to test server. Still cant connect to main. Ports seems to be OK, i have no idea whats wrong.

This really does look like port 2000 is being blocked by your provider.

Open a dos box (start run cmd) and type telnet game.eternal-lands.com 2001 (you should see the welcome to test server message

Now try it replacing 2001 with 2000 if you do not get a connection message it is the port.

 

There is learners proxy service that is available that will allow you to connect but there is a fee for using that.
