Snosrap Report post Posted November 6, 2007 I have noticed that animal summons wander off a long way, while monsters stay at the summoners side. May i suggest that the distance animals wander be minimized. Happy Summoning. SNOS
Sayre Report post Posted November 6, 2007 Just as a note, Sslessars also wander. I actually consider it an advantage that they wander, I often send Sslessars that I made from stones off to kill animals so that I can gather their bags. Obviously they are easier to lose if they wander, but I am just pointing out one upside. S.
kaGen Report post Posted November 6, 2007 (edited) Is it only certain creatures? Because I notice when I summon skellies or gargs they make a formation around me and stay very close. While when a summon, say, a tiger or bear from a stone, they wonder every which way. EDIT: Or when I summon polar bears, I think they wonder. I'll have to check up on that. ~kGn Edited November 6, 2007 by kaGen

kaGen Report post Posted November 6, 2007 (edited) lol, nice catch Temp, however I was responding to Spleen's post. Sslessar's is from a stone and a monster, so what I meant was is there a difference between a stone summon and a regular summon. (but on my edited part, your right, I read Snosraps post wrong >.<) ~kGn Edited November 6, 2007 by kaGen
Evalin Report post Posted November 8, 2007 I think that has to do a lot with the summon's "intelligence". Gargs, skellies, orcs, goblins all line up, and if you think of it in the role playing sence, can have critical thinking skills. Animals, beasts and so on, yeah, they don't care much for order, just stay in your general area, but wander around. Not sure if that's what's up here, but makes sence. Snosrap Report post Posted December 7, 2007 How about commands that affect this feature.... #summon_close --- this is what monsters do today #summon_mid --- this would be new maybe #cummon_far --- this is what the bears and stuff do today This would affect all summons until changed. Just an idea. Happy Summoning, SNOS

bkc56 Report post Posted December 7, 2007 It could be already under developmentBased on the summoning control test on the test server the other day, controls are implemented, but they do NOT address the above issue (keeping summons close to you).
