EL not working after new motherboard installed

Recommended Posts

Guest loopguy

I was using EL without issue. My motherboard died and was replaced. As I understand it didn't replace my graphics card, etc. Now when I attempt to log in, the first obvious changes is that it runs in full screen (before it was slightly downsized) and the introductory text is all oversized (the text barely extending past the viewable edge of the screen). I click and get to the login menu (Login, New Character, Settings) which is also oversized. I type in character name and password, it begins loading for a moment, then I receive an "Eternal-Lands client has stopped working" message. The problem details read; Problem Event Name: APPCRASH, App Name: el.exe, Version: 1.9.3.0, Timestamp: 4f286727, Fault Module Name: stackHash_0a9e, Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0, Fault Module Timestamp: 0000000, Exception Code: c0000005, Exception Offset: 0000000, OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3, Locale ID: 1033, and then some additional information. I don't know what, if any, of this information is useful or helpful for diagnosing. Thank you for your help.

I neglected to mention that I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program with no effect. Tinkering with the systems options hasn't seemed to work - - I don't think any of the changes I make are taking effect before it crashes. I'm working on the driver aspect at the moment. The computer says they are all working properly, and most of my games are still working after the motherboard changeout (although I've had to reload a few because of the loss of .dll files). I'm doing some updates at the moment. Crossing my fingers.
