Can't resolve server address.

Recommended Posts

Hello. When I tried to log back into EL, I get in red letters. "Can't resolve server address. Perhaps you are not connected to the internet or your DNS server is down." I look on the EL page at online players to see if others were connected, which they are. How can I fix this problem?

That's a problem with either your ISP or your network configuration (you either have no DNS servers configured,

or they can't translate the EL domain name to an IP address).

Kapbepucm's solution will probably work for now, but hides the real problem (and you'll be unable to connect as as soon as the game changes IP address).

A better solution: use another DNS server (e.g. google's at 8.8.8.8), or configure your computer to use one.

If you need further help, you'll have to give some details about the computer where you have the problem (OS name and version, at the least)
