as my vote stated. I try to log with the new clusters exe from my directory. It gives the same problem as the first update client. I log on, I see black, the fps is about 1-2. Then it freezes and crashes.

I am sooooo sad :icon13: I have been left behind. I am on PowerMac G4 with OS X 10.3.9.

There is no new update that will work for me, and I just don't know what to do. 0ctane mentioned looking into a few possible solutions for me when he has some spare time. But I guess the number of regular EL community members that use this OS is so few...... :)

i miss my guild members and friends so much already. :omg: and everyone else too.

I hope 0ctane or some other mac programmer can come up with something that will allow me to play again.

There's no way I can afford to upgrade my equipment right now...... :)

As far as I know there is no update version that will accommodate Mac OSX 10.3.9 ....yet

*fingers crossed*.

I have been searching the topics to try to catch one asap.

This is a forum post in this regard from 0ctane today at 4pm:

http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.p...26812&st=20

and quote from an e-mail I received from Octane 2 days ago:

"Well, 10.3.9 is not supported in this release. Sorry. I do not have

a 10.3.9 system to build and test the game on anymore. Maybe we can

get together some of the other 10.3.9 people and try to teach everyone

how to compile the game. I know one other person was hoping to play

under 10.3.9.

Although, I might be able to change some compile flags to get it to

work on 10.3.9 again... Hmmm.... I will look into it when I have

some time."

0ctane is one of my heroes! I just love him. There is hope for me...

to return and I cannot wait to see the new features. I love you too ent lol.

Pre compiled client works like a charm, with or without sounds. Can't compile CVS anymore, but thats probably just me :(

I haven't voted, because I'm not on my comp, and I really don't know much about this one yet... It's kinda one that was already put together, but hasn't been used in some time, but while my comp is in the shop (dead power supply), I gotta use it.

Installed clean install of the 1.5.0 client. Crashing on game start; there were no issues I noticed with the installation itself, but simply can't play either. personally, I thought it was because the comp is ancient, but if others are having like problem... as soon as I find them, if needed, I can provide specs plus any other pertinent info.

As soon as I get my comp back (and improved ;)), I can test there.

Everything is working fine. Even sound and music problems are history.

Its faster than the older client and more stable!!!

115 fps @ 1024X768 resolution with eye candy enabled.

I miss the old fighting style-movements though.

I have a imac intel running leopard osx 10.5.1. When I enter the tavern cellar on EVTR I crash. Also when I leave the mine I crash. I tried to build the CVS client according to Octane instructions but I get compile errors. It seems the GL.h has bad formed functions and other formatting issues. What can I do to get an updated client that will not crash when I run el?
