saxum Report post Posted October 31, 2013 Can extra spaces / be eliminated rather than get 'Invalid syntax'? If I am sending: /radu Can I buy some rostos it should treat it as the same as: /radu Can I buy some rostos
Devnul Report post Posted October 31, 2013 Yeah, "double space error" is anoying, I encounter it mostly when doing you copy-paste to PM. +
bluap Report post Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) Should be simple enough, I'll have a look. I've commited a change. Edit: I'm referring to a client change here, the alternative is for the server to remove the extra spaces..... Edited November 1, 2013 by bluap
saxum Report post Posted November 1, 2013 Of course was asking for client change. Even if it was incorporated into main game change it would a long time before anyone could utilize it. Will probably not be able to take benefit of change anyways since every new client I have tried crashes EL whenever I attempt to do a listing of it and that feature is too important to me despite whatever other client changes are made. Yes I have worked with Sir_Odie on it and no solution was found. Thank you for making even though I will not benefit from it for a long time.
Learner Report post Posted November 1, 2013 The server change needed wouldn't take very much and I can point Radu at the fix if he wants to do it and doesn't want to think on it to much. Server side it only takes one bit of code in one place to remove all leading spaces from a PM and prevent this error message.
bluap Report post Posted November 1, 2013 Learner: I can easily remove the addition if the server is changed to ignore the extra space. Saxum: As for the crashing, I am always happy to help fix bugs. I'm not sure what you mean by "do a listing" but please provide any details you can, perhaps in another thread, and I'll have a look. Sometimes, two heads are better than one when chasing bugs, could be I'm responsible for the bug.
