PK/combat summoner

Recommended Posts

I looked around but could not find any guide/tips for a pk/combat summoner build. Was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to get on a strong path for this type of character.

Yes, though I was thinking more along the lines of summon, and survive while your strong summons attack. I am curious how powerful Charm is. My guess is coord, instinct and vitality are primary. Any input appreciated :)

I myself do not PK, but as for the effect of charm - it increases the critical hit / critical damage for your summons. So, a 16 charm gives your critters a +16 critical hit / +16 critical damage. That plus the chance of getting an extra critter when you summon is incresed by charm so a 16 charm gives you a +16% of an extra critter.

If you want to survive in PK as a strong summoner try going in invisible and doing the summons - you will not become visible if you do..... :D

If you want a so called summoning/PK build, i would say p/c/r/w/i are your best interests.

why reasoning or will ?

I would say p/c/i/v for stronger mobs and double summons

Mistral,

You want to be able to better heal your summons and for that a higher rationality is better (along with a higher magic) so adding to reasoning or will increases rationality.

I for one am in the process of adding to will in order to increase my rationality as well as increase my mana.

pk summoner is all about going and summoning fast and invis, harder mobs and better sums are better than casting heal summoned (as known summoned acw cant see invis ppl as normal) , assuming that u summon acw ofc because anything else is crap anyway. Afterwards ppl go invis and cast smite so if u really want to start a heal/smite war its useless.

Thats what my experience has shown to me past year

I haven't really done a lot of summoning, but if I were building a summoner for pk I would start with p/w/v. Seems to give the best balance of survivability, summon strength, and a heck of a lot of mana.

High level summons don't need that much emu so I think coord as a 4th attribute wouldn't be too bad. Although, this would be bad for instance/invance/invasion. As a summoner, u don't care about your own dex and reaction imo.

I like Rabbitman's build advice. Definitely need Will to increase maximum Health and Mana. Vitality makes summoned creatures stronger and again increases maximum mana. Last but not least Physique will help you survive (Toughness and Health).

I wonder if I should also get the Conjurer Perk and Summoner Perk. I think I will also get the Mage Pants and Skirt. What do you think about wearing the Camouflage Cloak?

thanks

I don't know if JRATS actually pk's with any of his summons, but when it comes to summoning for invances and invasions, this guy rocks.

When it comes to what type of critter you summon, I personally think that lower level summons could actually help. I summoned simple brown rabbits to keep an MB spinning between the fighter and my summons. Oric said it helped quite a bit. I figure if you summon one or two strong monsters and then either tank rabbits or something really simple like brown rabbits, the weaker summons will help your stronger ones even if they poof quick.

As for what rabbitman said about p/w/v, does not sound too bad since you will have high toughness, lots of mana, some carry capacity, some rationality and some charm.

I once had an alt that had monstrous rationality, but no carry capacity and while his magic and mana rocks, he could not haul, so you definitely don't want to skimp on the carry capacity. I would probably suggest doing the p/w/v like Rabbitman suggested and then work on coordination and instinct. I am only summoning 35 and I didn't build a character from the ground up to summon, but it sounds logical.

I would advise you to know strategies so that your summoning build does not go to waste. For example, summon from the north because summons seem to almost always spawn to the south of you. For pk, I imagine you would want to walk away from where you were or people would know about where you were. The distance between the summon's spawn point and you is probably a relatively fixed distance.
