I have already tried to connect to EL from a PC through my company's network and could not. I was wondering if I would not be able to connect if I used the EL app and my company's WiFi.

Probably not, I guess they are blocking ports/protocols. Use your phone's data, EL doesn't do much traffic.

I was hoping to use my tablet on their WiFi but if you think it will block el then I will try my phone. Unfortunately I don't have unlimited data. I will see how fast it burns through it.

Having a channel open, especially ch 3, will cause extra traffic. Ch 1 or 2 usually has little enough traffic not to matter and still allows people to ask/answer questions.
