SR ctritical fails

Recommended Posts

Now I'm only Potion level 40, but i am only make 90% of my SrS. What i would like some higher level input on this about what percents i should be getting the next few levels.

Rider i'll tell ya what I know from personal ways of finding out >.> it sucks.

I had only potion level of 37 but I find that 1/5 of ur SRs is gonna fail critically. It pisses me off as well. What I recommend is u make 100~ at a time and it seems to not hurt you to badly. they say a 1/3 chance for crits on things but 1/5 was what i noticed on srs personally. atleast when I made 200 at 1 time that is xD

It will slowly get better as your level increases. At level 50 or so, I noticed I was getting about 95% and now at level 61, I'm at 99%.

Keep working at it and you will see it get better

but as Stricken said, the more u make the less the crits seem to effect you

Well, that's obviously because you fail less with higher levels, as far as I know, chance of success is (your level)/(2*(rec level)), fails have 1/3 of being critical (again, afaik). Anyways, that would mean that you'd have 100% success at level 40 for SRs which just isn't the case :P One thing is for sure though: there's a small random chance for failure, in other words there's no "no fail" level.

As for some numbers: some months back (might have been level 85ish) I made a batch of 10k SRs and counters said I had lost 35, about ten of which went to EMPs. That would be a 0.25% chance for critical failures (that's 1 in 400).

i think what i meant was that if you make an accumlated amount at 1 time it seems to be less then what it is. EX: you making 4k HE you do 200 per time and fail 2-3 per set. but it doesn't bother u cuz u see that pretty 198 sitting in ur inv that goes straight to sto :/ it's just what i noticed. when if i make 20 at 1 time i feel bad if i got like 18 :/

I am not a high level in pot at all, but I am currently 26 in pots, and doing 20-22% crits and probably 30-40% food fails. I am already seeing a vision... this is absolutely horrible.... :P

lol when u hit 30's it's worse, but poitoning was qiute useful, i spent 7gc per SR rather then 14 :D

saves u a decent amount of gc unless of course u fail a lot hit crits like mad crazy anda re using feasties (not recommended) then of course it would drive u nuts lol :)

Well - I don't know it and don't really care ...

The clue is that if you make enough of those SRs you just don't care if or if not you loose a few. So I agree with Stricken.

And if you get a potion maniac (as very few are) you do not even look if it is a crit fail or a normal one or even just a stopping, just thinking it is so bad that the work stopped ;); But as said - that's just for maniacs :(

The relief in fails is all about boosting that level...

At pots 80, I make up sr's in batches of 2k, and it seems the vast majority of my 'crit fails' end up being EMP's instead of fails...

Hey, I have gotten a few EMPs from it all! :icon13:

Yes, it roughly takes me 7-9gc to make a SR, and I do reuse some, but I also sell some, so as long as I don't LOSE gc (which I havn't really) I am okay with it :D
