What would you recommend....

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for something to harvest that gives me decent xp (40+ Base XP) but also has a decent market for it / has an npc that buys it. I'm also looking for something that doesn't require anything besides a pickaxe, leather gloves, and a book read.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Well, even things that require a ton of flowers (such as extra mana pots requiring ogre toes) i spent days trying to find a buyer. I'm looking for suggestions on what has a better market than that, as my own exploits never seem to end well....

There used to be a good more demand for harvests than there is supply. I suggest you work by order rather than just harvest something. The major crafters and alchemists are always looking for some component and want 100k of it. Of course, these people might not watch market channel anymore (i find market channel less useful than it was a year ago).

Thing that harvests for lots of XP is turquoise... not sure if there is major market but I paid 6 each for turquoise a lil while ago.

Hello all!

I use titanium to level up my harvesting (current harv level 39). I get ~47exp per ore, and you can sell it in WSC for 2.5gc each to the blacksmith. You only need a pickaxe and knowledge of titanium mining for it. With the excavator cape or perk it's a nice way to make a little money while you level up. I prefer the Portland Titanium mines and just take loads straight to the blacksmith, although some prefer to drop it in storage then haul from there. I don't use the Titanium in Emerald Valley Trade Route because even though it's really close to storage it takes the Teleport to Range spell, and I don't want to waste essences on harvesting.

Just my input,

titanium ore is the only harvestable that needs inorganic 5. unless you plan to be a rare-ore harvester with inorganic 6, then its wasted pickpoints imo to harvest titanium. i would recommend red toadstools for exp & gc.

you don't need to sell titanium to other players like you do toadstools. Get 20k titanium ore and you can sell it all to the WS blacksmith for 50kgc. It's also a light ore so you can harv lots of it at a time (1 emu). In addition, making bars from your titanium ore is very good exp and you can make great money selling the bars as well. I feel it's one of the best harv item for exp and gold. However, harving the ings for magic essences is even better gold and experience but you have to be a bit more active playing where titanium harvesting is better if you spend a lot of game time afk.

ill have to agree with jon finch with this..titanium seems to be the most profitable "harv hour" product. its not too bad of exp either.

Titanium has a couple of NPCs and a market for the bars. If you don't want to spend the nexus though you can go to Irsis and harvest the flowers there. The flower shop pays 1g each for every flower that it buys. Very few events. Very little healing. Close to storage. No tools required. 1 emu for the plants too. There are some of the plants there that I think are in demand by players too but not sure. Good luck.
