shortbows and longbows....

Recommended Posts

i find it odd that shortbows cost less but are more accurate than longbows (missile accuracy).

if you look in the encyclopedia ingame, it states that shortbows give +5 missile accuracy, and longbows give only +2 missile accuracy but yet longbows cost 3k more... shouldn't this be the other way around? example--> +2 for shortbow and +5 for longbow? just thought i'd let you all know because i wasn't sure if you knew already :P

Long bow make bit more dmg

are you sure? when i look in my encyclopedia ingame, it says that both the shortbow and the longbow do 5-8 damage... is it based on some kind of bonus that isnt stated or something else, like astro?

you see also ensyclopedia says all bows makes that 5-8 dmg, but its not true, higher bows make lot more damage. I dont know why is it in ensy that way.

That's the informations you get when clicking on the bow with the "eye", and matches what you get typing #arm after equipping a bow.

The reasons they look the same is because those are the stats of the bow used as a melee weapon, afaik no information about the damage done by the bows as ranging weapon has been released, and if you look at the output of #arm there is no line about ranged damage (missile accuracy is affected by the arrows/bolts).
