Recommended Posts

i am currently 81 attack and 80 defense, guessing i need a couple more levels before i can fight cyclops but i was wondering what physique and coordination is needed for them, im getting ready to reset because im not happy with my choices on pick points and i dont want to be a pure fighter

I started on cycs early in 80's def. i had 24/48/8/24/4/4 . in full iron and with col. started with a iron sword and now using bone.

so i would advise 24/48/4/20/4/4/4 at least. ( i am not a pure fighter. except for animal al my nexuses are filled to 6)

28 phys is better probably

all the attributes are important, but you should mainly be concerned with your p/c when determining what atts you need to train... r/w/i/v can be helpful, but you dont need massive amounts of r/w/i/v to train until you get to stronger mobs.

28/44 p/c is the standard p/c for cyclops, unless you have a decent oa or have invested pp elsewhere I don't recommend trying to obtain r/i before you obtain the p/c.

afaik, Korrode's guide has the basics for training

(Korrode's guide: http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=51536&st=0)

Cyclops

Recommended p/c: 28/44

Recommended def: 85

Minimum def: 80

Weapon:

- bone @ <80 att

- none @ >80 att

I preferred armed orcs->lions->fluffly, avoiding clops completely.

Lions have similar a/d and crit far less than cycs. No drops, but cyc drops are rubbish anyway. The meat + bones are useful if you plan to summon, like I did.

A number of people do not use the shield spells or defense potions which increase defense.

Using a little better armor and a titanium sword and the shield spell or a potion may allow you do fight them with 30/40/4/20/4/4 for attribs. I forget what exactly I had when I fought them. The cyclops will die with a stronger sword, but oh well. The xp is better when you fight them earlier, so it will get closer to being the same. Just find a place with multiple cyclops like EP and make sure you have enough SR, dis rings and magic levels (must be able to restore).

I'm doing cycs with 24/32/16/4/8/16 and 78/81 a/d with Vanquisher. Getting around 6k/min exp at EP double using steel long, flee'ing @ 100hp and using tit long to kill it faster after flee (because the other respawns earlier if you finish it with steel long). I got 13 pp's free.

When I use my free pp's, I'll let you know.

Shield spell does not increase defense, it increases armor.

Oops. Right. Well, still, it would keep the person a bit safer.

I was keeping spawn for like 1.5 hours at least.

Now that I have 28/44 p/c, I can easily hold double spawn in EP with an iron sword, flee'ing @ 100 hp.
