efe...fire arrows

So what's new?

Look at the metal armours, cheaper from NPC for the same reason;

and it didn't start going that way yesterday either.

Because they can be bought from NPC for 80 gc, to make them is actually way way more expensive. Cheapest EFE on a bot is 35k, which amounts to 400 gc/arrow if you make them.

No point in making them when Nasps drop them and the arrows are easy to get for less than 80 gc from bots.or players.

There are enough players that aren't bothered by EFE prices of 35k (or rostos at 80-90k).

I'd love to see some statistics about how much gc and how many rare items (EFE, EME, binding, rosto,...)

come in game and leave over, let's say a month...

I didn't check recently, but usually people are hoarding. Meaning, more come in game than leave the game. It's the same with pretty much all the rare consumable items.

The reason that I'm hoarding is that I eventually intend to use the things, once my manu/etc. level is high enough, and I doubt that I'm the only one.

The exact reason why items are hoarded isn't important.

Just the fact that they are does mean that prices will be forced up, as it decreases supply.

It's nothing bad with 80gc per FA, it's bad the cost for producing them yourself - like with other things in the game. And if i make one EFE myself i would rather sell it and buy FA with the gc, because i would get few times more arrows. And even to get engineering exp you have better options.

So the point is that it's not encouraging you to mix them, just like with other items. But maybe adjusting the ings to make producing them profitable would provide more diversity to the game-play.

There are SOOO many items not profitable to mix in game because they are drops or because NPCs undercut you on sales I would have no idea how to,adjust it. We are in a Soviet economy were prices are attempted to be controlled by the state and it is done absolutely terribly.
