A Harvester's (Other) Life

Recommended Posts

Hi all! :pickaxe:

My first attempt at doing some literary work...

Here's a sample:

The rains in Thelinor made the city look bleak, with all its gray stone walls. I went into the nearby empty stall, shaded from the rain, peering into the downpour for a sign of life inside the tavern.

Seeing none, I decided to go inside anyway. My boots squished from being wet too long. The trip from Melinis where I was gathering a few rubies for a ring was uneventful. Funny how it is sunny in Melinis and stormy here, with only a cave route to separate the two places.

Walking slowly, I adjusted my black cloak, hunching low, trying to avoid the stinging lashes of the rain. I reached the tavern door, pushed it in, and a hot, heavy gust of humid air greeted my cold, shivering skin...

Commenting is not allowed on the story site, but you may add to this thread :)

Happy reading!

P.S. Following PaulB's example, if you want to be added to the story, drop a reply here, with your preferred character name, what you want to be in the story, and some other details you want to share.
