A Ranger's Skills

Recommended Posts

Alright... So archery is finally out and everyone started to shoot at bunnies and beavers \o/ Oki ranging exp increases the further you are from the aimed creature but would be cool to know more about it.... Are mols useful... do moon meds increase the accuracy or do star meds increase the damage of arrows by 4... How do perks affect archery... Good places to train it. Also noticed that after i got a grizzly down to 10 mp... someone came and shot it and took the bag of it... oki the bag didnt contain muchy but it sure differs from killing someone with a sword... Do share your views \o/ and erm... Join Wing \o/ =P

Bows appear to use the "Missile Accuracy" attribute under #arm so I suspect the medallions do not increase your chances to hit.

The damage increase will require more testing.

Since the skill is modified by perception I would guess that night vision goggles may help.

theres no change of xp with or w/o moon med, so it doesnt changes anything =) nightvisor lowers the xp, so it makes the shots more easy.

I came up with a good way to get ranging up....

I think rangers under lvl 6-7 ranging should shoot bears then move on to the lupine bush and shoot/harvest the lupines till

around lvl 13-14 range then in the idaloran mine north exit (need mm if trolls ogres and armed orcs atk u) get on the

platform and shoot the ogre that spawns there until around lvl 20 range and thats around the lvl im at. Also when ur shooting

for the top of the platform if ur on the edge the ogre will atk u and if it wanders from the spawn u might have to go kill it.

I have had other success using similar strategy and at any range it helps, on is in PL ti caves since there are alot of elevated platforms to shoot at other creature, the other is a good way to train summoning/ranging but no one else trains there so i don't know if i want to tell people yet, buts it really easy to figure out where and how

Yeah i understand i was like that about my ogre ranging place at first even tho a friend told me about it, there is also a X3 lupine bush about 30 seconds away from the flower shop which isnt to bad if ur to lazy to leave idaloran

None of you mentioned about some quests that will give you (for newbie ranger) experience boost. Bellow you can see a list of NPCs that will give you a quest with ranging exp (the ones that I know about).

1. Osold (Port Anitora) – exp ?

2. Wimmip (TG Magic School) – exp 10000

3. Veasura (WS) – exp 20000

As you can see you can easily level up to ranging ~15 without firing a single arrow.

Good luck! :pickaxe:
