Client patch, please try it

Instructions:

Download

Exit EL

Unzip in the el folder (if you don't know how, don't try it, wait for the update)

run el.exe

Report bugs if any

Have fun

[edit] please turn on the curse filter if it's off.

Um, i know that we have the CVS thingie and stuff.. but um, could some1 please compile the linux binary and link it..

i downloaded it, but when i tried to log on, it said something about "cannot find zlib1.dll"

doesn't work here :P I get an failed to start because wrap_oal.dll was not found

I just reinstalled the regular client. I couldn't stay online for more than a minute at a time.

Ok, here are my observations..

I am running linux version..

 

Game seems to be faster, average FPS increase is from 2-10 depends.

Loading/switching maps, is a LOT faster.

 

The magic quickbar bug (IF it is a bug) is still there (the doubled spells icons).

 

Graphical bugs (described here with shots) are still present, and there seems to be no changes..

 

To avoid the small filename error i used to get, i had to rename skills.xml to Skills.xml cuz of course linux is case sensitive...

 

I had no, crashing problems before and i don't have any now.

I saw that too. Im not sure of the cause of it. I have not tried this patch.
