Using Windows 10 EL Does Not Connect To Servers And Freezes

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

any suggestions how to get EL to work with Windows 10?

All seems to be "normal" till EL tries to connect to it's Servers, at this point it freezes .

Compatibility Mode (XP, SP3, Admin) does not change anything ...

Finally I get a dark grey screen and have to "hard reset" my computer...

Sorry, problem solved.

There was no Windows 10 prob, it was the new F-Secure Client (for Windows 10) which had blocked EL's Internet traffic.

---Now I'm on again ... :)

Hey I'm having this issue. Everything worked fine then upgraded to windows 10, now game does open. All the GL extensions say Couldn't find, not using.

Framebuffer disabled...

No clue what happened from just going to windows 10 but tried all the compatibility settings and none of that worked either.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried a pretty dumb solution, that is reinstalling EL? I am playing on W10 with no issues at all. However, after upgrading to W10 I had to pretty much reinstal all drivers and most of the games.

Not everyone has a choice about upgrading. One of my computers were upgraded without me agreeing but I had a cloned hard drive and I just replaced it.
