Guest mariposa guest Report post Posted January 13, 2013 EL doesn't render water properly on my laptop. It is a real bummer and I'm desperate for a way to resolve it. It is an Acer Aspire One with Mobile Intel 945 display chipset. Windows XP. I have the latest drivers. The open GL version is 1.4. Here is what it tells me on startup: [01:48:49] Window size adjusted to 1018x530 [01:48:50] Your card reports having vertex program capabilities, but the support is buggy, so we disabled it. Lexi Report post Posted January 13, 2013 I had this one time! Welcome to on board video! You can try updating your driver, but I don't think that will fix it here. I think this is why you are having issues: 01:48:50] Your card reports having vertex program capabilities, but the support is buggy, so we disabled it. [01:48:50] Not using vertex program for actor animation. Just a suggestion. Hope updating will work.
tork_unib Report post Posted January 13, 2013 I've an aspire one too, trust me you don't want the water working - unless you happen to like sub 1fps gaming.
Guest mariposa Report post Posted January 14, 2013 So there is a way to get it working? I would like to try, then experiment with the settings or el.ini to see if I can improve the FPS. If the server disables the water on purpose, is there a way to force it to be enabled? Thanks so much for your quick replies.
LongMustache Report post Posted January 14, 2013 I assume it disables the water because your netbook cant handle it. Look for 'water reflection' option under video tabs in options and turn it on. I assume el will just crash, but its worth a try.

If you want to enjoy EL in highest details, change your PC to a one with graphic card for gaming. You have a crappy video card, end of story.
