Instinct or Vitality

Recommended Posts

Which is better for the pure fighter vitality or instinct? I am looking at only the fighting aspects of these attributes not the added charm or mana etc.

Any suggestions?

And why is one better than the other...

They both are good I guess and they have diffrent uses but it seem to work better to have them balanced.

Well Vitality adds mana but If you think it is irrevelent then you'd be wrong. As a fighter there will be times that you will need every single mana of yours. :mace:

Vita and instinct are both necessary attributes to have. And in training, a mix of the two is necessary and superior to putting all your pps in one.

Let's say you have 24pps to put in these.

If you put 24 in instinct, you'll have a very high reaction with respect to the creature you're training. After a limit, the reduction in number of hits will cap out. That is to say, the said creature(if you were in the lvl to train it) will no longer hit you in normal rolls. It will hit you in crit to hit rolls. However after this lvl is reached, more points in instinct will not help reduce number of hits as all hits are critical. Additionally, having a low toughness, you will take a lot of damage in the crit to hit rolls.

If you put all 24 in vita, you will have high toughness but low reaction. You won't take much damage per hit. But you'll get hit a lot. Although that means low dmg/hit and low crits, you don't get def xp from those turns. Bad for training.

So it's a better idea to put pps in both. That way you dodge most. And when you get hit, it doesn't hurt as much(and doesn't break stuff).

The mana from Vita is very important. You(generally) don't want to put pps in WILL for a pure fighter. So Vita is the only source of etheriality. The gravity of this can be understood if you consider that most deaths in game occur due to mana cooldown. You really want a high quaantity to start with.
