I voted that increase over time. I know no one might reach it, but if they do hit the cap (and several others do) what do they do then? What if everyone reached it? (I know this sounds extreme, but that's what this makes possible...) Putting a permenant cap on any skill just seems pointless in this kind of game, someone will reach it sooner or later, should they just stop if they do? Also, then what's the point in adding newer/bigger monsters later if no one can ever reach them because the cap is lower than they need to ever fight them?

i think they should just make it so when you reach 100 the exp rate changes and it is twice as hard to level or more so people can still be the best but it wont get too crazy

Permenant. There is no point for a cap if it will change as people reach it. With equal levels you can have real, fair, skillful, fun PK, which I think is the aim of the PK server.

Not sure if everyone actually read that post well. It doesn't say a cap at 100 first and then later increase that. It says a cap at 100, but possibly lower caps *before* that.

 

To me that doesn't sound like a bad idea. With a cap at 100 right away, that's already quite a bit of time before you can get there. And people with a lot of time to play will beat the crap out of people who can play less. Which imo very soon could lead to a few high level chars owning everyone, and making it practically impossible for others, or people who still have to start, to do anything.

 

With earlier caps, you can keep more people at levels that they're actually able to be some competition and a nice match. If you're one of the people that made the cap already, there's time to develop other skills or actually do some PKing. Then when there's quite a number of people who reached the cap, raise it a bit, so the final level cap of 100 is reached gradually.

 

Would keep more players around the same strength for more PK action, and more people with other skills as well so a more versatile game.

I like a max cap of 100 myself. And what molime said, should help the people who cant play so much, to hang on.

I voted permanent, but I wouldn't object to the cap starting at 70 or something and raising slowly as more and more people reach it eventually stoping with a permanent cap of 100.

The cap may increase over time, if the absolute maximum for a/d will still be 100.

 

As previously suggested, we could start with cap at 70 and increase it when WoW does.

it would be better if the caps were at 120 a/d so you dont need an army of players vs ac/yeti/giant/dragon....or if you dont want to increase caps, decrease monsters stats above fluffy to -10 - 20 a/d?

I hope this doesnt happen. It takes no time at all to get from 70 to 80. And WoW has only increased cap twice in entire existance at game. I'de rather level to one final cap so i can have fun in guild strategy and PK from then on.

Spacing it out is better. Gives casual players a much better chance of being able to participate fully in PK, raise it by 10 levels every now and then, up to 100, gradual increases gives people the chance to catch up.

 

Remember people PK server - It's all about having fun PKing. The more people involved at the same level the better :blink:
