Apperantly, "Tiras" sounds feminine to a lot of people. But, I'm asuming that's mostly due to mispronunciation.

At my school, I was absent in Chemistry and we had a substitute. On the attendance sheet, my name only spells out to "ANASTAS," because the rest doesn't fit. Apparently the teacher assumed that it was "Anastasius," which is the masculine form of my name. I've never met anyone named Anastasius, and I have no clue why that substitute would assume that, other than the fact that most substitutes in our county lack any brains. I think that's the only time I've been remotely mistaken for a guy based on my name. Although, it took me a while to figure out exactly what Aki was. o.O

You know what's funny? I'm almost ALWAYS mistaken for a girl... it's the name. They're pronouncing it wrong. (Eye-Ruh) is the correct way. It's really funny when some old perv comes on and tries to flirt with me..
