OutThisLife Report post Posted September 1, 2004 I've seen people with the buttons like grey and stuff (below is an example) how do i do that? http://eternal-lands.com/gfx/screenshots/ssotw2.jpg
Mar(c) Report post Posted September 1, 2004 That's the old gui of the game. (If you really want to change the buttons, look for and change gamebuttons.bmp)

Leeloo Report post Posted September 2, 2004 May I remind you of el.ini: #compass_north=1 Ok, it's not the old compass, but at least it makes the arrow point the right way (i.e. north).
Platyna Report post Posted September 2, 2004 May I remind you of el.ini: #compass_north=1 Ok, it's not the old compass, but at least it makes the arrow point the right way (i.e. north). Not works for me. Regards.
darkst Report post Posted September 3, 2004 Works for me - I was very pleased that that patch made it in. Try putting spaces either side of the '=' char.
Platyna Report post Posted September 3, 2004 I tried, have you put it in some particular place huh? *winks* Regards.
Leeloo Report post Posted September 3, 2004 There shouldn't be anything special about it. It's done just like every other setting in the game. It only changes the way the arrow rotates (multiplies degrees with -1), it doesn't change the rest of the compass at all.
Platyna Report post Posted September 3, 2004 I know it not changes compass anyway I have set it and see no difference in its behaviour. Regards.
Aislinn Report post Posted September 3, 2004 I can't get #compass_north=1 to work either, i tried it with the spaces and without the spaces... Is there something we need to download first? Or a special place in the el.ini we are supposed to put it?
darkst Report post Posted September 3, 2004 I just put it at the end of the ini file. And as far as I know there are no restrictions on the order of settings in that file.
OutThisLife Report post Posted September 3, 2004 lol thanks for that .ini patch thing.
Platyna Report post Posted September 3, 2004 It is on the end of el.ini file and not works. *cries hysterically* Regards.
Mar(c) Report post Posted September 5, 2004 It works for me.. Needless to mention (I guess..), that EL must be restarted after you save the el.ini file.
Platyna Report post Posted September 5, 2004 I've restarted, no way, not works. Regards.
