SirKillAlot Report post Posted August 4, 2004 you are starter right? if you are, i do not suggest starting with a les paul, very expensive and hard to play - basically a more experienced person's guitar i suggest looking into a fender package www.musiciansfriend.com
sirdan Report post Posted August 4, 2004 just buy the biggest peice of crap thats on sale till you can actualy play...

007 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 i suggest looking into a fender package i've been playing guitar for almost 2 years, i started w/ accoustic til last xmas when i got a fender squier package, and it's really been great... i want to get a guitar now with a little different sound, without being too expensive (i'm looking for up to $600) so i was gonna do an epiphone les paul, but i guess if its hard to play i should wait a while? sirdan Report post Posted August 5, 2004 dont ask me i dont play guitars or anything im poor X_x
007 Report post Posted August 5, 2004 why would it be harder to play? i'm not really sure.. but i guess its cuz some guitars are made 100% for ppl who know exactly what they're doing, so that would make it harder for ppl who dont know what they're doing but that's just my guess
SirKillAlot Report post Posted August 5, 2004 just because it is roja, just because =) believe me.. my nephew is all hardcore into that - but i'm a drummer... bond, a epi les paul would be great considering you've been playing for 2 years and learned on a squire, it will just take some getting used to - like i said, musicians friend has some great les pauls - you should be able to play one my friend ryan played a fender squier 4 string bass for about a year, now he has a shiny ibanez 6 string =)
Evil8 Report post Posted August 7, 2004 if you are starting out get a fender or an ibanez...what do i know about guitars i play bass
007 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 ok thx 4 ur advice SKA i'm actually most likely gonna get a Epi Casino instead of a Les Paul, cuz it seems a little cooler but i'm getting it through musiciansfriend.com
Dustinhasreturned Report post Posted August 9, 2004 check out samash.com ..................i like to go there and look, but i tend to drool............ i like the prs tremonti SE but i heard that Gibson filed a lawsuit and they had to stop making thier guitars that have a resemblance to the lespaul or sumthin..... right now im stuck with a shitty squier strat......but im gonna work on this custom guitar my dad and his friend made and try to get that fuckin ground wire fixed.................... if your not beginner, and not wanting to buy a too high priced guitar, go with epiphone, and some fenders, gibson is way out of my range to say the least
MikeH Report post Posted August 9, 2004 yamahas are great beginner guitars, also ibanez makes some pretty good beginners guitars is a good beginner guitar an Ibanez GSA20 is what my friend started off with and now hes good as shit and Ibanez GAX70 is what my guitar teacher thinks is the best beginner guitar and i dont recommend fenders... they are all the same!!!!!! or you can go straight to the sweet stuff and buy a shecter i got my pimpin shecter 2 years after i started playing, and its so niiiiice
